Is anyone here being impacted by the Coronavirus outbreak? As in lost clients, had clients reduce their spend or shorten their campaigns?

Not yet, but one of my clients is living in denial thinking he will have no issues getting his next shipment from China. I doubt it will be that easy and he will most likely run completely out of stock.

It's not cut and dry, , A lot of factories/shipping companies are back and work and firing on all cylinders, while others are in heavily affected or quarantined areas. Thankfully I have been able to fulfill all my orders bar one this month, , but affected product/service are hit and miss,

@dineen15800 I have heard some of the ships aren't even leaving the dock because there is no point, they just aren't full enough and if your stuff is unlucky enough to be sitting on one of those ships well.

@oz oh I see, that makes sense, The last shipment I got thankfully was before the virus hit, and all other orders have been via plane.

No. But I did start thinking of which sectors might benefit (and to therefore target). E. g. home improvement, as people stay home this year & have Bbq's instead. I know one client with manufacturing bases in SE Asia is looking at 8 week delays on container shipments as a result of supply chain issues resulting from lockdown.

I just saw Zoom stock is up 30%. Your line of thinking is smart, as for sure impacts will broaden and deepen globally over next month or two at least.

Yeah my mate gets all his stock from China (hair extensions). It hasn't caused a massive hit yet, but looking shaky af.

4-5 weeks container shipment, little less for regular Air packages. Everyone having supply from China is affected

Not lost any clients or anything. I hadn't really thought much of it, but I've actually been positively impacted.

Hopefully business owners will be sat at home more thinking about their marketing instead of wining and dining in posh restaurants and travelling the world  #yesidoskypecoaching

Know a person who owns a grow light company that cant get stock at all. He is one of the biggest brands in the business. If it persists, he will go out of business. It's been this way for at least 1 month.

Not my main money maker, but some parts are not available any more, prices went from $100 a piece to $400 some selling for $1k. End of Story, will not be offering that service right now.

I am in Eastern Europe which has some small number of cases right now and no cases being currently confirmed in my country. Hopefully it stays that way. My primary concern is that I was thinking of getting started with my digital marketing agency full-time this year by working with US clients. I am wondering if SaaS companies will be impacted much since they are one of my target clients. Hopefully this will be handled by the end of the year without much further escalation.

Clients in APAC are slashing digital marketing budgets left, right and centre. Very tough times for businesses of all stripes not just in China but around the region.

Had a potential client talk to us a few days ago. Luxury vacation planner (i. e. travel agent). Seemed to be going well then she suddenly pulled the plug because she was scared of the coronavirus and how it would affect the travel industry. So there goes that one.

One of our client (travel industry) downgraded its seo package due to low demand despite us telling him this is the best time to grow in seo with no pressure

@lachlan66436 might be a good time to grow but they need their income to be able to pay for SEO

Yes, one client a clinic for man ( yes erectyle disfunction, penis enhancements, hair transplants, NAD+ anti aging) has dropped almost to 0 leads. Located in Bangkok, and mainly got clients from Malaysia, Singapore, South korea, Hong Kong and China. Another golf client had complete golf tours and tournaments cancelled. It`s having a firm grip on business in south east asia. And probably will get worse before it gets better

Tourism industry here in SEA is getting hit pretty hard, regardless of if a place has even had any coronavirus cases. Phuket (Thailand) in particular is seeing an overall drop in bookings, despite having zero cases.

Not yet John, but many businesses are struggling especially brick and mortar ones in my country. Training, education, travel and F&B especially is down by easily 50%. Thinking how to help them with this problem and get more clients in the process.
