ScrapeBox is one of those tools I always seem to come back to. Even years later I'm still uncovering new ways to use it. Do you use it? If so how?

@marozas7000 are using it in your screenshot to check blogs for niche relevant comment opportunities?
by (340 points)
Not really. I actually rarely use it these days for backlinks. More for creative outreach opportunities. Hint Google Search Operators + ScrapeBox = Magic.

With scrapebox automator plugin it gets way more powerful. Scrapebox works in Mac too. and you can use Mac automator with this for another automations outside of the scrapebox. As automator plugin doesn't work in Mac.
by (230 points)
Didn't even realize it had an Automator addon. That'll save some time.
by (340 points)
I use the mac version as well. Just started playing with the custom data grabber. Can't believe I never used that until now.
by (340 points)
Also I’m getting to brush off my regex skills.
by (600 points)
Great, It also has rank tracker. One more thing you can do is, you can back your whole youtube channel too. Scarpebox has youtube video downloader built in.

@levitt5732 didn’t realize it has a Mac version. I’ve been missing it forever.
by (600 points)
Yeah Patrick, it has. but a bit less features compared to windows. The thing for the mac, you have to buy a new license for it. but just ask the support for the Mac license with the same details of your previous license. i. e. using the same email I'd. By using the same email I'd, you get discount for the Mac license.
by (600 points)
By doing that, all your paid plugins get transferred to Mac version too for free.

So, how do you use it then?
by (340 points)
I use it in tandem with Google search operators to find target bulk websites with issues, then create a custom outreach strategy. (Basically lead gen 2. 0)
by (330 points)
@marozas7000 broken link building?
by (340 points)
@bottleneck that’s one utilization.
by (3.4k points)
Bulk websites with issues? Interesting. Do you mind an example case of using the search operator to find broken elements on a site? - It's late here and I can't think of one

I use it to post to my PBNs with the xml rpc bulk poster and to bulk translate documents. Its a great swiss knife.

Scrapebox is amazing. I don't even use it for posting lol
by (340 points)
@newby5 same here. That’s how I started using it like 8 years ago when that kinda of thing worked. Now I use it totally differently but still it’s an awesome tool.
by (2.2k points)
@marozas7000 same lol. I would use it to get backlinks but now it's mainly for research
by (460 points)
@newby5 what type of research mate
by (2.2k points)
@povertystricken literally anything I need to do that requires a search engine lol.
by (460 points)
Give one example bro
by (2.2k points)
@povertystricken if I'm searching for some niche websites, with high authority, I can scrape them together and manually outreach to them for guest posts.
by (460 points)
Oh ok yeh I do same, but how are you seperating based on authority? Are you scraping like write for us sites and doing batch analysis?

Ooooh, I remember commenting on a ***ahem*** few blog posts with Scrapebox! Combined with Xrumer, it was all you needed for the #1 spot in any niche! Memories! :)

@marozas7000 do you know if there's an easy setup that will scrape the existing blog comments on sites including the dates the comments were published?
by (340 points)
@dimorph28475 I’m not sure if you can do that all out of the box, but with the custom data grabber, there is almost no limit to what you can scrape. Only limited by your imagination and ability to use regex. (Which is easy to learn)
by (3k points)
@marozas7000 Thank you, I will look into the custom data grabber and play around with it. I'm not an expert with Scrapebox but there's times I really wish I was
by (340 points)
Long story short. I had hired a freelancer on a freelance job board to develop a specific scraper in Python but the gig got flagged for a violation. So I remembered scrape box had some custom capabilities and learned how to craft the same solution in about an hour.

Scrapebox beginner question - how come when I set my results to 1000 scrapebox doesn't harvest the full amount?
by (3k points)
@ruwenzori Rahr not enough results.
