I would think a sonoff TH10/16 would do if it’s just temp you want to monitor (not run power through it)

Throw a open close sensor in a plastic bag with a stone and pitch it in.

why are you the member of a Facebook Q and A forum if you can just google oh wise one? Turns out some of us folks on here like to help each other out and have come up with current solutions. You can go back to sifting through SmartThings forums that haven’t been updated since 2014 if you like.

a little research on your own, then asking a question a bit more specific will yield better results. Here was result 4 from Google

then be more specific. Your looking for logging? How would any one know? It seems to me you wanted to "monitor" the temperature

hmmm. were in a SmartThings forum. I think the rest of are all smart enough to assume that we’d like it to be used with SmartThings or at least connect to the internet. As it turns out there are no SmartThings sensors that work with hot tubs. You have to make your own. Some people on here have been helpful. you not so much.

Right, assume, that's a way to think. Also, this is not a SmartThings group. SmartThings is a product of Samsung. This group is called smart home automation.

I hope someday you ask a question on here so I can roast you like Justin Bieber. Head back to moms basement. She’ll call you when the meatloafs done.

sorry bud, not I'm mom's basement. Side note, I've already made my own self hosted lamp based temp sensor array. The questions i ask will be thoroughly researched and will show in how the question is worded, unlike yours.

neat. I’ll read your dissertation lamp based temp sensor arrays before posting again. Every other poster understood my question. As far as doing research. I’ve never found a Zwave or zigbee sensor that you can use in a hot tub. hence the question on a smart home forum where 90% of the posters use SmartThings.

i do need to apologize, i just realised imuted this group before due to these questions . I am a bit of an ass and should leave this group, although the needle in the hay stack post comes on here that is very intuitive and i enjoy looking at.

Ambient Weather makes a pool/spa thermostat that reports to an inside display unit. The unit is capable of connecting to the internet and to your Ambient Weather account, which can report to SmartThings with a smart app. I use one in my pool and it works great.

I already had a weather station for all outdoor stats (use those stats for triggers). So it was just an add on for me.

Are we being conned? When I first signed up with Talk Talk I plumped for the "Basic Broadband" option (11Mbs average) but when I found that this was really no good for watching video I decided to upgrade to "Fibre Broadband" (67Mbs to infinity), a little dearer but worth it, or so I thought.
