I’m looking to put a smart deadbolt on my front door. My only concern is that I have a storm door as well that has a magnifying glass effect and traps heat between the two doors. I’m not sure the actual temperature it reaches but it seems really hot in the summer. Would this high temp affect the keypad on a smart lock?

I know it wouldn’t on an August lock since you keep your existing deadbolts. It replaces the back part. Easy to install.

My front door faces due south and the storm door is all glass. Thus far, my Schlage has done just fine.
