This fan is very cool looking and very expensive. Does anyone know if the remote is RF or BT? I would love to put this fan on a smart switch and ad a RGB light to it.

BT is radio frequency rf. More UHF rf.

May as well get Haiku for that price

Yeah, we have a Haiku L, its great. The fan you stated, seems folks are on different sides of how it looks. But if you are actually interested in moving air, not sure how good it will do. Check out Haiku's lines of custom and limited edition fans, not "boring".

You could wire it up use a Sonoff IFan02. That doesn’t get you RGB but it gets you everything else.

@myrilla2 I wasnt impressed with the sonoff. Have to hit a button on the unit to resync the device. So have to drop the fan shroud and mess with wiring if you want to change your wifi password.

@commandant yeah I’ve run into that recently on mine and I still haven’t pulled the fan it figure out why the Sonoff is off line. That say I haven’t really seen much else out there.

I've had three of these ten years ago in a club. We used a dimmer to run them, they were an old school design back then when remotes were available. Side note: they are amazing powerful wind machines. ;)

You can normally buy add-on remote control boxes that go above the fan. But that's just for fan speed and light intensity.

According to the specs it's an AC motor fan, so any decent wall control would be able to handle speed control of the motor. The lighting is listed as LED and the shape of it makes me think it's a built-in circuit board, not a replaceable bulb. That and their wall control specifically says non-dimmable. So just be prepared for the switch to control the light to be on/off only.
