We have my parents as a part of our Amazon prime household as my husband and I share an Amazon account. We have a Logitech harmony hub and it's been set up for months. My dad got an echo dot recently and my Alexa stopped responding properly to my requests for controlling my TV and game console. Ie. did you mean tv? Sorry I didn't find a device named switch. I can't remember exactly what it said but it said something about not finding a device on my dad's profile. Is there any way to have a prime household spread across people with their own devices that aren't shared and not have interference problems?

Try saying “Alexa identify account” to see whose household it’s connected to. If you determine it’s a different location say “Alexa switch accounts”

No problem, I share an account with family also. Each of us have multiple Alexa devices but we created our own “households” to identify which device is where.
