Question

Alexa routine troubleshoot: smart things door sensor notification on Alexa when door opens. I have the routine set up with my ring sensors and works perfectly, but won’t work with smart things sensor. Anyone have an idea what I might be doing wrong? Edit to add: when I test the routine in Alexa app, it works, but when door sensor open it does not trigger.

Did you enable your sensor for Alexa connected services?

@kali55 I think I did. Smart things shows I’m connected to Alexa

@haubergeon in new app hit the burger in the top left and then settings. Then connected services.

@haubergeon should have Alexa there. If not , need to add and then select all ST objects you want in Alexa. Then discover devices in Alexa.

Is there still no way to do this with Google homes?

If you’re using smartthings I’d recommend keeping everything within smartthings using echo Speaks smart app.

@cyprinoid thank you. Is that easy to install? I’ve found a link that gives me html code to install. I’m resourceful, I’m sure I can figure it out, but is that the easiest way? I need hubitat or something like that?
