Looking for an 8" android tablet with a wireless dock/charger. I tried the Amazon Fire 8" tablet with the wireless adapter/dock. It's a crap, underpowered tablet and it needs to go away. Anyone have an alternative?

Whats your budget and the use case? I have a bunch of them for action tiles panels and they work great but they aren't docked to a wireless charger. They are also good for consuming media. But they are budget tablets with a locked down OS so you have to temper your expectations.

Budget: I'll spend what I need to, but the 8" fire is too slow to even open email. Use case: A couple of them around the house (and next to the bed) for email, social media, actiontiles, whatever

I also tried the fire tablet and couldn’t stand it more than an hr. Ended up getting a Samsung galaxy a tab which is still pretty slow but much quicker than fire and not locked down. No wireless charging tho. 130-150 range I think. For wireless charging you’ll have to spend a lot more probably.

I'm OK spending more, but I simply can't find anything (hence this post)

What about a Note? Smaller than you want, but you get wireless charging.

That's 11" though. If I wanted something the size of a small TV set, Lenovo has one with a wireless dock (M10). Too big
