Best streaming option for “normal” tv? Hulu, youtubetv, etc? Maybe dtv or xfinity stream? Tried to get rid of directv a couple years ago and stream. wasn’t thrilled so I went back.

To me . the xfinity stream app is bad. Not that it doesn’t work. there’s just nothing on it i’d watch. I like philo and the rest of the free stuff i found on the roku stick. i don’t watch tv much though.

I use Hulu and have loved it 99% of the time. Every once in a while I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app on my fire cube but that is like twice in 18 months.

Have been using YouTubeTV for well over a year. It's been great for my household

Philo. All the regular “cable” channels. Cheap and reliable so far.

We are using YouTube tv, and it works well. Had at&t now before that, and were not impressed.

I recently ditched my traditional TV service and went with YouTubeTV. But here’s a good comparison of the different channels offered by each service. Streaming Services: Live Channels Compared

Honestly, the competition between the services keeps "the best" changing hands on nearly a weekly basis. It really just comes down to the channels, and features that YOU prioritize. My wife prefers Hulu. I prefer YouTube TV. So we have Hulu  We used to prefer DirecTV Now. Had sling in there for a bit as well. It really is a subjective answer to your question. You'll really just have to go to each service website, see what they currently offer, and compare them to see what fits YOUR needs. Keep in mind that next week, it could all change and another provider might fit you better. That's one benefit of streaming. You can change on a whim.
