I think the hub will still connect to your wifi if you just plug the cable in. My guess is that you need to factory reset the hub and do everything from scratch. I have seen complaints in ST forum about this.

nope it doesn’t. It drops the WiFi and connects by LAN only. There was a bug in one of the beta firmwares that I found and reported to the dev team who then fixed it.

thanks for clearifying. A while ago I went from cable to wifi and support told me I needed to factory reset. Good to know the other way around works better.

going lan to WiFi wont work as you need to put the WiFi settings in and that can only be done from factory settings. Once they are in though you can swap back and forth.

if it doesn’t work as I have mentioned then please report it to the support team as they will have regressed that bug they fixed a few months ago. Be good to know if it is still working as it’s been a while since I’ve needed to switch.

I was wondering if it was that simple. I didn't see any place to change settings.

I’ve had issues with mine when WiFi and Cable we’re connected. I just block the WiFi on my WiFi mesh and only reconnect to WiFi when I need to move the hub closer to connect new devices
