I would go with one with local storage and no subscription fees. I haven't looked at the Eufy one, but that is probably what I'm going to replace my Ring doorbell when it craps out. I'm sure it won't be long.

I have 8 Wyze cameras outdoors for over 2 years.

@township yeah I've been trying to figure out how to put them up outside. But I dont really have any outdoor electrical to tap into except two outdoor light that are on switches. I dont wish to leave the lights on 24/7. The back light my neighbor complains about if I leave it on.

Put a smart bulp in the fixture. A couple of my Wyze cameras are powered by a 25' USB cable. And another Wyze camera is powered by the USB port on the Wyze camera just inches away. Up to 3 cameras can be daisy chaned together for power.

@township you can daisy chain?

@rosser Yes, there's a USB-A port on the back of each Wyze camera. You can use that to power the next camera with a USB cable. I do that in once case where the cameras are only 3 inches apart.

@township i plan to buy 6 wyze cams. How are they working for you? Do they hang or feeeze image? What sd card you have? Do they start oxidizing? Are you happy with them? You regret have wired? Do. you connect to 2. 4 ghz wifi? Regards! Sorry for all. questions. havent seen someone. with 2 year experience with wyze cameras

I have 12 Wyze cameras. I don't have much problem of them hanging. But periodically they will not become available and need to be rebooted. Those seem to be the ones furthest from a wifi access point. I put a smart plug on those so I can reboot them anytime if needed. I use Sandisk SD cards. Most have 32gb but 3 of them have 128gb. I don't know what you mean by oxidizing. They're plastic. I'm very happy with them. I don't regret wired. However, there is one place that I used a Blink XT2 because it wasn't easy to get a wire to that spot. Blink isn't reliable catching motion so I'll eventually get a wire there. These cameras only connect to 2. ghz. My wifi mesh system (Google/Nest) supports both so it's not a problem. These are very easy to setup.

@overset8553 Aside: At certain times of the year I have up to 8 of the cameras outside. One of them atop the megatree in my outdoor Christmas lighting.

@township they are plastic but have chips and wires inside and some cameras tend to oxidize. do you have them with the outdoor protection? Or naked?

@overset8553 I have a 3D printed hood on them.

I love the vivint outdoor camera pro. Very high quality, and it whistles to intruders even while I’m sleeping!

ReoLink has become my primary camera. They have nice outdoor cams. They are a bit pricey though.

I'd recommend staying clear of WiFi cameras if you can - go PoE wherever possible. I've had great experiences with the Amcrest line.
