I finally got around to returning the HDMI switch i bought last December. The first one didnt work right out of the box. The second one did, but gave me problems the next day. No audio, lower definition, loss of colors. Strange it only happened from my cable box, not from the Firestick which was still ok. Since it would work when unplugged for a while, but after a day, it wouldnt work right, the unit is defective. So i am looking for a at least 3 input 1 output HDMI switch that can handle 4k video from things like my 4k Fire Stick. I need it to be controllable via Harmony, so Alexa can control it as part of a routine of turning on the TV, switching to the Fire stick. Any recommendations ?

If you're looking to avoid the issues you mentioned, buy something from Key Digital. My installer recommended this to me a few years ago and I've had no issues with any of their products.

Well I was basically just buying the cheapest one to fit my specs on Amazon and I got results similar to you. There may be something in between that works but I can't speak to that. I'd also suggest checking ebay - I've bought many of mine on there, some refurb, and all have worked great.

I didn’t buy this one, but I did buy a monoprice hdmi splitter(prior to 4K). I needed for TOSlink to get 5. 1 to my Sonos surround setup. I’ve had for over 5 years. I programmed it with harmony because the remote got messed up. I didn’t need it though because it supported hdmi-cec so it turned on to the right channel when I turned on the fire stick which turned on the TV.
