Upgraded to v3 from v1 hub. Using both apps. Cannot get home monitor to automatically arm with presence sensors. Any advise or link to tutorial? Tried through both smart things monitor smart app and goodby routine.

First thing to know if that SHM in both apps are totally separate. You can’t Arm new app STHM with a Classic routine, and visa versa with new app automations and Classic SHM. By presence sensor do you mean mobile phone presence or the fobs?

@kemp97176 in the new app, turn on mobile presence under the settings menu “use phone location”. Then in automations it should show up as “member location” under the conditions section.

@kemp97176 at this point I would delete Classic from your phone and avoid trying to use it. Setup everything in the new app.

@kemp97176 it does, but they are beginning to migrate people off of it. No sense putting time into an app that could be retired soon.

From experience and a lot of frustration, I could not get mobile phone (android) presence awareness via the new app to work consistently with STHM. I spent ages trying different things, some days it worked great, other days it didn't update correctly/quickly. I've now switched to Life360 and the old "Notify me when" smartapp. Seems to be working great at the moment

@crabstick4604 Has anyone actually been migrated off the classic app so that it no longer works?

@sammy I’ve heard of a couple people getting the banner. I’m guessing the people they are starting with are very light users that probably aren’t involved enough to even be in this group or the forums.

@crabstick4604 That sucks, I love ST and have had it since Kick Starter days but the new app just doesn't work well for me. I saw a great suggestion, they should leave the Classic app and call it Pro, Heck I'd even pay for it, that's how much I dislike the new app.

@sammy supposedly they are doing more to make the new app device UI more flexible. That should cover most people’s remaining complaints I think.
