I am using the Smart Lighting smart app with in the new version of the SmartThings app. I have a motion sensor under our bed that supports 2 automations. The first between sunset and 10:30pm that turns on our two lamps to 50%. The second between 10:30pm and sunrise that turns on an led strip underneath our bed. However, between midnight and 1am, the automations do not work properly. The first automation runs instead of the second. I have went over the automations probably 10 times trying to find an issue with them and don’t see anything that should cause this. Anyone else have an issue like this or have advice on how to fix it?

I had something similar happen. nothing looked wrong in the automation. ended up deleting it and redoing it. but I waited a couple weeks to let the wife regain some trust in ST

I wonder if this a location time zone issue? Or because an automation spans across two day? Perhaps split the automations up into further rules, none of which cross midnight?

@chandler I've not had any issues spanning days like that. Works fine for me.

I'd delete them, then recreate and test. If they still fail, then post screenshots of your Automations, maybe someone else can see something you're missing.

@nail523 I’m having a similar issue with two motion sensors one in my garage the other in my bathroom. Both have simple automations. I like the idea of deleting both and reinstall both. Good post

I noticed last night that another automation I have from sunset to 11:30pm is having the same issue. Even though the automation doesn’t span the midnight to 1am time frame the lights still came on when there should have been no action.

I deleted it and set up a new one. Will let you all know if this fixes the issues.

Deleting them did not help.

Tried replacing the batteries in the sensors?
