Hi everyone, I am a newbie at this and feel that I am just missing something small. I have a Smarthings hub configured with a camera, door sensor and alarm bell all working fine. Then i purchased some Sonoff R3 basic switches, couldn't see them on smarthings so I loaded eWeLink and it picks them up just fine. I have been through multiple tutorials explaining how to add a virtual switch in Smarthings classic app. Have done this but how do I link that to the eWeLink switch so that I can access it from smarthings?

You need to use IFTT unless something has changed. You create a virtual device that calls the IFTT action that “pushes” the button. Google sonoff IFTT

Thanks Mike, in IFTTT I have "connected" the Jtest which apprently links the two apps, I have also tried the Turn On/Off Sonoff applet. Configured the switch in IFTTT, how do I link the virtual switch in Smarthings to go and excute the "push Button" on IFTTT?

Any help would be great, it's driving me crazy, must be a small link that I have missed

IF you could perhaps point me in the direction of what applet to use. All I want to do is turn a sonoff R3 basic switch on or off using smarthings

Ok so I made a "Momentary button tile" in ST, this triggers an event in the ewelink IFTTT to turn on the switch (in my case I have a pro 4 channel so I have to pick channel). Unfortunately I haven't found a way to have any real feedback from the sonoff other than to flash it to uh Tasmota or whatever it's called, which didn't work when I tried it and was pretty complicated so I ended up sticking with this solution for now, hope that helps

Follow this. Works great, as I have 12 of them working in my system.
