I’ve got 3 V3 hubs as I have outbuildings. SmartThings won’t see any Sonoff Wi-Fi devices but it does work with Meross Wi-Fi. Should I have bought this? It seems to manage Z-Wave, Zigbee and Wi-Fi.

First off, do you have the proper handlers installed for your wifi devices? Secondly, are they on the same network/subnet?

@ides8 I have UniFi everywhere. This is the switch. Right. I still have the same 2 questions.

@ides8 where do I find and install a device handler? Yes, all on same Wi-Fi network and subnet.

Search sonoff smartthings device handler. there are probably hundreds of them for any particular purpose.

Wow, expensive! I have Sonoff WiFi devices working in ST, just takes some extra work. I flashed new firmware on my devices.

@vouchsafe12715 beyond my skills I suspect. Installed and working but not with ST. .

Sonoff do Zigbee now if that helps
by (1.2k points)
@fante yes they do one product. ZBR3 switch. I’ve got four.

@williemaewillies never ending circle I suppose but then nothing ever works so why not keep replacing it
by (1.2k points)
@fante I just wanted one app not three. And would prefer Smart if it all used my great UniFi network but it doesn’t and then you need hubs. Loads of them!

HC3 has a ZigBee radio but no firmware for it as yet. I doubt it will ever support cheap ZigBee devices.

This should be considered Z-Wave only. I have the Home Center Lite - didn't pay for it, but keep it because it can easily unpair / reset anything Z-Wave no matter what the original controller for the device was. But, the HC3 is marginally more useful as it MAY be able to do Zigbee and Bluetooth one day. I would not count on that day coming.

WiFi is not an IoT standard just a networking one. Smartthings can communicate at a network layer with your sonoffs just fine, but sonoff does not implement any standard for other systems to integrate with their WiFi devices, they are proprietary. They expect you to use the eWeLink app. It is however possible to replace the firmware with one that can be supported in smartthings, there is a very large open source community working with sonoff devices. Or just use the zigbee devices, which -is- an IoT standard.

If you flash the Sonoff with TASMOTA it sees them just fine.
by (1.2k points)
@kraft does it mean uninstalling it and soldering?
by (2.6k points)
Some soldering to the 4 pins and some jumpers to a usb to TTL adapter. Lots of videos on YouTube for flashing TASMOTA.  USB to TTL Adapter, USB to Serial. .
