My Iris motion sensors are constantly disconnecting from smartthings. I have to pull the battery and reset and delete the item and readd it. Do others have this issue? Are there better options?

Mine work like a charm, how strong is your zigbee network?

This. i have dozens of iris sensors and they are rock solid. you might get a couple of Peanut Plugs, they are cheap and work great as zigbee repeaters. I have 5 or 6 of them around the house and my zigbee mesh is great

Ok maybe that's my issue. I could use more for sure. So I'll get more. What else is zigbee that I might pick up like the peanut plugs? (my house is full of GE z-wave switches) Also. How long do your batteries last typically?

@dutiable Try adding a powered zigbee device. GE makes zigbee switches or any plug that repeats. Most do. Then rebuild your Zigbee network

@lixivium3 rebuild it by taking out the batteries for a bit and then restarting? (I have GE switches but they are z-wave as far as I know. )

@dutiable To rebuild Zwave go to the hub device> Select Zwave utilities >Network Repair. To rebuild Zigbee power off the hub including removing batteries if you have them, wait 30 minutes then power up (install batteries first). Iris motion sensors are Zigbee and are very reliable. If you do not have any powered Zigbee devices then you may need some. You can see what device each Zigbee device is connected to in the IDE by reviewing Next Hop. You’ll also be able ti view the device history

@lixivium3 yes I know Iris are zigbee. Ok so everything down for power off for 30 minutes. Will I need to delete devices in my app and readd them?

@dutiable No you will not need to delete anything. I would look in the IDE before and after to see if any of the Zigbee devices changed the Next Hop

@lixivium3 ok thanks. I have to delete my sensors every couple of months at the moment.

@dutiable That should not be the case.
