I’m about to buy a new home that doesn’t have any security system set up. What would you recommend? I like the SmartThings ADT system, but it looks like it’s getting discontinued and I already have a smart things hub.

I went with the Ring alarm system. Unfortunately it does not integrate with the Smart Things hub, but it has been very solid so far and have been happy with it.

I have a DSC system tied to SmartThings through an EVL4 panel and AlarmServer on a Raspberry Pi. Very DIY but will use all of my existing wired sensors and runs even when the Internet is down or ST takes a nosedive. Other options I considered were a Konnected panel

Adt version not worth it. Can't use certain sensors etc. It's not as open as the SHM. I use the SHM with noonlight as monitoring company. 9. 99 a month and works perfect and few text features

My Abode system integrates with everything and is feature rich.
