So obviously alot of holidays being cancelled. I'm meant to be going in September to Turkey with Jet2 and so was wondering if anyones had anything similar. If we have to rebook can we book a another holiday with them that Costs more and just pay the extra that we have saved? And also one of our children will be 2 instead of 1 so will we still have to pay the extra that comes with over 2 years olds with jet2 or are they likely to reduce it as it was meant to be?
So obviously alot of holidays being cancelled.

You’d be best speaking to them directly as everyone’s case will be diff With Tui we’ve just changed this years holiday to the same date next year xx

@aleenaleetha did you have to pay any extra at all and did you do it on your own account or waited until they contacted you? Xx

@voodoo because we aren’t going this yr we’ve changed it from a week to two next year so there’s been an extra cost but just for that They didn’t contact us we were due to go on May 9th it took ages to get through but we got there in the end xx

@voodoo thats a long time  ours is May, I think you’ll def have to pay for your little one though bcus they’ll say that’s not their fault and they’ll need their own seat on the plane You might be ok Sept Turkey doesn’t seem to have been hit so bad although the travel advisory have stated no flights indefinitely? xx

Was you originally taking him as a lap infant? If he had a seat booked then you might get away with it but best speaking with them once you get the chance.

@overman6 yeah she was as a lap infant which I wouldn't mind doing at 2 as she will only just have turned 2 by a few days x

@voodoo I know it's a few days but most airline (if any in the UK at least) let you. I've worked for a few airlines and strictly no. The only one that I know of until age of 3 is JAL. Given the current situation though they might waiver the cost but it's hard to say x

I would wait a month or so to contact them, as it’s Sept it might still go ahead, plus they are still dealing with April/May departures at mo.

We cancelled our and lost ourdeposit as didn’t want to pay out £3500 indefinitely and we know in our hearts we don’t want to travel anywhere abroad until things are back to normal and I can’t see for a second they will be this year x See how things are in June when money has to be paid.

We had a holiday this August with jet2. Cancelled it and rebooked for next year instead, to be honest wouldn't feel comfortable going anywhere this year.

All flights with jet2holidays are scheduled to go ahead from 17th June they are assessing the situation on a month to month basis. They are dealing with holidays of people who are effected from now until 17th June, and even at that is still not guaranteed to go ahead it’s really just a waiting game so I wouldn’t do anything until you hear nearer the time I would just continue as normal. X

@eben I'm going to i just wanted to see if there were options if it got to that point
by (5.6k points)
@voodoo if you do get cancelled then they will contact you by date of departure with the option to move to another date, change hotels if you’re original hotel is full booked on new dates selected, a full refund or voucher will be offered. My holiday for Majorca has been cancelled for end of May and I’m still waiting for travel agent to contact me. X

@eben I know what happening hun I'm just asking more specifically the 2 questions above x
by (5.6k points)
@voodoo it depends what dates you have changed to sometimes they can charge extra it shouldn’t be much but you can fight it, but for NHS staff I know they are changing ours for free of charge

I agree with some of your comments , so I'm not even booking until I'm perfectly sure 110% , I don't think this year I'll be going far at all !?
by (820 points)
@joyous if I had known this was going to happen I would have 100% not have booked but sods law  xx

Weve just had our holiday cancelled to Turkey in May with Jet2 rearranged for September. They are dealing with May departures at present I think. So I would hold fire if I was you.

My little lad is now 11 months - seat was free . if change to next year he would be 2 by a couple of weeks - tui said it’s one of them situations under no ones control but will have to pay for him so was an extra £479 if went ahead x
