Quick question here.  Some of you folks are very supporting and offer great tips, tricks and ideas for losing weight.Quick question here. Some of you folks are very supporting and offer great tips, tricks and ideas for losing weight. Thanks so much! You are the inspiration behind the group! I’ll offer a tip and it may help someone out there since portion control is a big piece of the puzzle. Buy reading glasses when you eat - it makes portions look much bigger! Then there are the people who have absolutely nothing to offer the group (there are meetings like that too with what i call “Negative Linda’s” to honor the most negative person i ever met at a meeting). I’m not talking about the folks struggling as that is real but, the folks who post pictures of crap, memes and that kind of thing with high point foods. Honestly, i don’t get the logic or mentality. In the WW world we are already bombarded with this from billboards, advertisements, family and friends. I’d like a good friendly place to go and look for inspiration and in looking over the WW groups, there may not be one out there as they all seem to have their fare share of these people. Now, I’ve searched the internet to find a way to block those specific folks and can’t seem to do this. Is there a way? If it makes a difference I’m using an iPad.

There is a way, on an iPad to unfollow a specific person within a group. Go to the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner of the post and you can snooze someone for 30 days, or unfollow.

@kudos , thanks, I’ll try that! Edited. I tried and i can report, turn off or on notifications for a specific post but, I’d just rather not come across any more of their posts if i can help it. It’s not so much the negativity but, it can be hazardous to someone who is really struggling. It’s just that these folks don’t have much to offer and i don’t want to waste time going thru posts that aren’t in anyone’s best interest.

@fermi , my daughter always used the name Negative Nancy’s but, i didn’t think it was fair to the Nancy’s out there i knew who were positive. Then again, everyone called her “Negative Linda” - i suppose you had to meet her. UGH!

Only way to block Is to block that individual person on FB then you won't see anything they post.

Go to the persons FB page, touch the Gear just to the right of the Message button, the top choice will be Block. You cannot see the posts or comments of anyone you have blocked.

@gratitude474 thanks looking into that now. Edited: IT WORKED! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Now if i struggle, i won’t have to waste my time any longer scrolling by these posts. My fingers will probably be busy tonight!

Also, with an IPad, if you continue to hide the same types of posts then eventually your IPad will stop showing them to you but that takes a bit longer. Good Luck!

There are two proper name for those people 1) Bullies 2) Evil Trolls These groups give people a place to turn for support in their journey. The downside is it give others a place to find people to bully. Don’t give them the satisfaction.

Yes you can block people from your own ability to see them but that of course does not block them off of the site .
