I have a question---I want to have raspberries in my Oatmeal, but do not like the seeds--If I make a puree/sauce out of them to remove the seeds and do not use sugar, will they still be zero points. I cannot find any info on the WW app or page.

How about trying the polnar all fruit jam instead? Warm it up and stir in. No seeds.

Do what suits you in all honesty. You don't like something, you work with it (like pureeing it to remove the seeds) or don't eat it. IT IS OK! Please do not let this group bully you because you simply don't like something. Find YOUR work around. I hate many things that are encouraged here.

I don't think I would count it. The big thing is that it takes so many more to make a puree than if you were just eating them. Maybe only puree what you would normally eat?

I would probably track it, but not by the puree step, and just track as adding whole raspberries, by the number you used, and or other ingredients if any used.

Raspberries are 0 and as you are mixing with something else and eating it should still be 0

@synthesize190 when fruits are pureed they then become points
by (1.3k points)
@overskirt when made into a smoothie and you drink it it has points but assume you eat pureed fruit should should be 0
by (7.1k points)
@synthesize190 I dont rhink so. Cause she still not chewing it. That's the thought behind what ww says you arent chewing and breaking it down once pureed. If it's a couple berries I probably wouldn't count it but I'd it's a cup etc. then I would count it.

@overskirt I wouldn't have pureed fruit on its own anyway so would still eat it

I was under the impression if a 0 food was kept whole or diced but if it was processed as pureed it was no longer 0. Am I wrong?
by (3.3k points)
@brumal I think so but I wouldn’t worry too much with the amount going on to oatmeal. Especially if it’s not an every day thing.
by (2k points)
@brumal correct once pureed or blended then points

Selina you are totally right right.

Zero point foods remain zero points when used in a recipe that you EAT. They have points if used in a recipe for a beverage that you DRINK. (Like a smoothie).
by (110 points)
@spadefish why is this. Itd be same texture
by (7.1k points)
Well she says she pureeing them so then points even though not drinking a smoothie the fruit wont be chewed any more

The blended rule is the only one I don’t follow. I never count fruit.
by (4.4k points)
@benghazi and still lose weight. Me too!
by (5.5k points)
@fronton Yep. If unsweetened applesauce is 0 points, then blended fruit should be, too. I’m adding it to protein powder and usually add chia & flax seeds. So there’s plenty of things to slow digestion.
by (4.4k points)
@benghazi YES! Applesauce was why the smoothie points didn’t make sense.

Sort of since your not making a smoothie it should be 0

When I cook them in a recipe it counts as zero
