I’m thinking about going to a meeting and starting up again. It’s been 7 years . Anyone think I should? Anyone think I can ? I’m 51 now. I’m sure I should set my goal weight much higher. It was 135. Now I just want to be 150. I need to get healthy.

I rejoined on Monday after many years and many failed diets. I feel so much better exerting control over my eating. I will be around for a while (about 75 pounds to lose), but it is so worth it!

I'm 70. Started at 67. My goal weight is about 20lbs higher than the one I had at 27 when I reached goal way back then, as suggested by my doctor. I have lost 79lbs with another 15 to go. Has it been slow? Yes, very slow. Has it been worth it? Yes, 110% worth it!

Definitely! I’m 66 and just rejoined 3 weeks ago. 5+lbs down with about 20 more to go. So worth it. I was scared and embarrassed that I had gained back but was welcomed with open arms.

Im 72 and want to rejoin again. Will be the third time. Had to quit before because of not reaching goal and it was getting unaffordable. How much below goal can one go? Anyway i can't do it now because i broke my ankle. Non weight bearing yet. So can't do anything as far as exercise goes. I did loose 25 pounds my first go around. WW works.

I rejoined after a long break. Started after Christmas and my goal weight is higher than the first time. Lost a stone and feeling very pleased with myself ! If I can do it so can you! I don’t think it matters what age you are.

I’m 82 and an xlifer, also. I have gained and lost over the years, but each time I had gotten to goal and stopped tracking. Go for it and stick with the program. As I say all the time “Take it a day at a time”.

I’m 49 & change. There’s never a wrong time to be healthy. I’m not focused as much on being a size 2 or 4. Because I am not sure I could maintain that. I have a weight I’d like to get to. Then we’ll see. I’ll still be overweight but under 200 and much smaller than I am now.

I’m 72, 10 years ago I joined WW & reached my goal of 146 (lost 28 lbs). Fast forward 10 years - I gained back about 10 lbs and knew I would continue to gain if I “didn’t do something about it”. Last April I rejoined and have lost 29. 2 lbs. I feel terrific, I’m comfortable with my new body and my doctor is working on taking me off of my blood pressure meds. If I can do it —- you can too!

At WW, you no longer set a goal weight and struggle to reach it. Meetings now focus on smaller, attainable goals, wins and non-scale victories.
