It's at every grocery store. Ask at yours if you can't find it.

I like using bread flour and adding baking powder and salt. I think the dough rises better and has a better chew.

Sure. 1 cup bread flour 1 cup Fage non fat Greek yogurt. I think fage works best. 2 teaspoons baking powder. 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt Make sure your bread flour and baking powder are fresh. I also use what is called a scant cup of the yogurt. What I mean by this is that you use a tiny bit less yogurt than flour. I mix it in the food processor because it can be quite sticky. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes wrapped in cling wrap. You can keep it up to 3 days on refrigerator. If you refrigerate, let it come to room temperature before you bake it. I got the recipe from skinny taste. com Use the same instructions on baking as the self rising flour.

Search self rising flour and its as easy as 1 cup flower plus 1. 5 tsp of baking powder and 1/4 tsp of salt. Cheaper and easier.

Should be right beside the bleached, all purpose, and wheat varieties. Baking aisle (where the cake mixes and spices are. )

Also: to cut corners when a recipe calls for buttermilk, use some vinegar. No one drinks buttermilk in our house so in order to justify myself, I try not to buy a whole container of it just to poor it out later.

If you have an old Betty Crocker recipe book, theres a guide in the preface or the index that gives you tips or substitutes. Otherwise Google can help.
