I slice a banana into the water while cooking, along with cinnamon. By the time the oatmeal is finished the banana is nearly dissolved, making for super sweet oatmeal.

@maroney I I never measure my water, I just eyeball it. I like to cook my oatmeal a little longer so it’s more creamy and probably always add a little extra water until it cooks down. just kind of smoosh the banana pieces while cooking.
