For me. it's " don't take the first bite. " I know everyone talks about eat in moderation blahs, blahs, blahs. THAT is not for me, because IF I took that bite, it would be all over. I am one bite away from a splurge. It's the demon I deal with☹

Thank you for your honesty. So true. I am one cup of coffee away from a 1/2 cup of cream a day. I've been to treatment for this cream addictions 4 times. I know what happens with that first sip.

This is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change, that takes a total mind shift and it has taken me years to learn it.

Be aware of portion sizes. I think as long as you eat things in moderation, you can have everything you want. You just can't have all that you want.

I have several- It is not how many times you fall, it’s how many times you get up. The scale is only one tool, don’t let it dictate how our week was. Walk down a buffet table or food table first. Then decide what you are going to eat. If it is something you get to eat all the time, skip it. I will always eat stuffing at Thanksgiving and skip the mashed potatoes. Planning is important. Having things on hand helps you stay on track. weigh, measure, track all my foods. Realizing I can not eat as much fruit as I would like. Knowing my mental attitude plays a big part. Drink water and then drink some more! Realizing it does not matter how long it takes to lose the weight because reality is the days, weeks, months, and years are going to pass no matter what.

Drink water, drink water, drink water. the old plan said 64 oz every day IN ADDITION to tea, coffee, etc. Many programs say to drink water also. Drinking water flushes out excess sodium and keeps you hydrated well!

Always keep zero or low-point soups on hand. I usually make WW Chili or some type Vegetable soup every weekend to eat during the week. When you want to go to the pantry, eat a cup of soup instead. It will keep you from reaching for something else. Also if you had a high point lunch, have soup for dinner or vice versus. That has been a lifesaver for me. Good luck!
