If you are good all week and then splurge on the weekend, does that negate everything?

If I use my weeklies to enjoy some cocktails or restaurant meals on the weekend, I’m fine. But I still try to follow the program. If I am going out to dinner, I try to have lower point breakfasts and lunches. If you completely abandon WW and eat everything you want on weekends with no portion control, then it’s going to hinder weight loss most likely. It depends on what you mean by “splurge” I guess.

I splurge on the weekends but not too much. I feel blah if I overeat or eat anything greasy. I allow myself either an alcoholic beverage or my favorite DQ Bllizzard!

My gym coach always said to ensure you are maintaining an 80:20 ratio . 80% of the time you are eating heathy, etc and only “cheating” 20% of the time

That's exactly why I weigh-in on Saturday mornings. I am able to enjoy my weekends and have all week to catch up before the next Saturday weigh-in.

As long as you still maintain a calorie-deficit for the week, it shouldn’t. I track my weekend splurges as they add up quickly. With WW, that’s what I save my weekly flex points for. If I blow past that, I rarely see a loss. Splurges, yes. Weekend-long binges, no

If you banked extra points at the end of week before new week starts, it’s fine.

No. I have a friend that does that and has lost 50 pounds. With that said don’t go crazy with it. Make it one meal.

I tend to go out to eat on weekends, so I tend to use more of my weeklies during that time. As long as I don’t use all my weeklies, I tend to lose in a week. Our workshop leader told us that people who use their weeklies tend to stick with the program long terms because they don’t feel deprived. So I use mine.

How big is the splurge? If you just do it once (like a piece of cake and ice cream and go over your weeklies) then it shouldn’t derail you too much. If your splurge is literally the entire weekend, then it may undo the other hard work you did during the week. What I find is that splurges are mostly damaging in the long run because I struggle to get back on track when it is over.

Yes! Being in a calorie deficit depends on the weekly average not daily

The weekend is when I do splurge and it does effect how much I lose it's much better when I don't do that I try to only do it for 1 day but sometimes I have a hard time with that especially since it's birthday season in my family.

I save all my weeklies for our date night on Saturday night every other week. The key is to get right back to regular routine. I actually think it helps to shock your system once and a while. My points are usually spent on wine in all honesty.

All your points, everyday or just Sat night every other week?

WW is a lifestyle. I'm trying to learn not to over eat, ever. I'm trying to learn it's ok to enjoy some unhealthy food in moderation. This is hard for me. But I'm working on it. I know it will be the key to my maintenance.
