I need some help, I’m kinda lost and overwhelmed. I’m type 1 brittle diabetic for 26 years, 3x Colon cancer survivor. Iv not had many issues with my weight til this last year. Iv gained a lot and it keeps coming. I say it’s because for once I’m not sick and I went from an abusive relationship to a healthy one. Im comfortable. Anyway I would like to lose 20 lbs. however I’m a planner, I panic if I don’t know what I’m doing each day and I like options. Can you guys throw me meal ideas and snacks I can eat. Also what do I do if I’m trying to be strict but my blood sugar gets to low? What’s a good meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner? What are good snacks to keep me full? I suffer from gastroperesis from my diabetes so I tend to eat, get full fast but then I’m hungry again as my stomach doesn’t digest as the same pace as normal people. I’m also missing my colon so I’m always just hungry I really just don’t know how to do this. My insurance won’t pay for me to see a dietician. I’m on an insulin pump so I don’t have to follow a strict diabetic diet. I just want to eat healthy and lose weight. Where do I start? What can I put on my shopping list? What meals in one day do you eat? How do I count calories and all those things? Is there an app that is helpful for food, calories and meal prepping?
