I decided to try a reward chart to help with my weight loss journey. This may sound over the top but i do a reward for every pound. That's right every pound because I've earned it. Some are little rewards and others are bigger. new shoes, a shirt, a new lunch bag, new sunglasses, hair accessories etc. Does anyone else do this and what are some unique ideas to use for rewards?

I do this! When I got under 200, I bought myself a Coach purse and when I reached 185, I got a wallet to match!

I give myself $1 for everyday I am on program and if I stay on all week I give myself $10 for the week instead of $7 for the week.

I have given myself rewards for every 5 lbs. And it makes it easier to lose when my goals are 5 lb. increments. Instead of looking at the long-term goal, I just focus on a little one. I reward myself with a new piece of clothing or a book or an activity I enjoy.

I have a paper clip chain for each pound I lose. If I gain a pound I have to take a paper clip off. I love watching it get longer. My family likes watching it too.

I go up and down so much, I'd have to be putting my rewards in a closet, and then have to earn them back, over time.

I don’t do it for the number. I have a list of rewards I want and I choose one only if I followed the plan 100%

For every pound I lose I buy a 1 pound bag of rice. When I reach my goal all those bags will be taken to my local food pantry.

@jedthus88518 :That's a great idea. ☺. I've also pledged to donate the money I spend on my WW membership to sponsoring a needy child once I meet lifetime. ☺. I sponsored two children for years and I want to do it again.

I keep a daily journal. Write in it everyday. Some good days some bad days. When I am feeling down I go back and read it. Motivsted me!

A great idea is for every pound you lose, buy a pound of beans, rice, or other non perishable item. Put them someplace where you can see them. Donate to your local food bank or put them in a blessing box when you reach different goals - maybe after 10 pounds.

I do this! I take myself to Kohl's or Macy's after every 3 lb loss
