Over eating zero point foods maybe? They have calories so they matter.

Do ya have any lady stuff coming up? Did you eat a lot of salt? Sometimes I put on like 5 pounds before my period. Salt make me retain water if I am not drinking enough! Watch your 0 point food portions!
by (1.1k points)
@catamaran exactly reason why
by (240 points)
It happens for me too. I wish could track that so we know when to not freak out with that bump up cyclical wt gain.
by (1.3k points)
Glad I could help ya figure it out!
by (1.1k points)
It's got to be salt and water retention
by (1.3k points)
Hopefully you can up your water intake & it will shed off quickly! :)

@douville If you have a Fitbit it'll track your cycle.

When this happens to me, I go back to basics. Re-lookup point values for everything, measure portions sizes for everything you eat (even zero points foods, they still have calories). Make a conscious effort to drink lots of water. Don't eat anything more after dinner. You aren't really hungry, you are bored or its habit. Have a decaf tea or coffee if you feel desperate.

Weigh & measure your food It’s very easy to under estimate size . Which plan are you doing . I found ‘zero’ points don’t work for me. Too easy to overeat. That said the scale will go up & down . it’s just how weight loss works. Sometimes having higher point meals will work too. Good luck in your journey

Are you working out? You may be gaining muscle. I would take measurements. Biceps, thigh, waist & hips you might be surprised at the inches your losing.

That happens once a month to me and usually requires chocolate.

Drink your water, check portion sizes, move as much as you can. Read about the whoosh factor it helps explain how our bodies work on this crazy ride.

I can if the food I’m eating has too much sodium or too many carbs. I also started eating more fiber, and taking fiber gummies and drinking more water.

I discovered my body holds on to water like nobody’s business. I started drinking 2 20-oz bottles of water first thing every morning, even before I have coffee. That jump starts my body almost like reminding it that it’s ok to let go of that extra water. I was losing . 1 or . 2 per week. I added the water and lost 4. 2 in the first week!

Nothing! Sometimes I lose when I have no business losing and weeks when I’m militant and squeeze in extra work outs the scale moves in the opposite direction. Don’t give up! Keep thinking of all the positive changes that have happened since you took your first step to become a healthier version of yourself.

Too much sodium water retention?

Just hang in there and continue with your tracking. Eventually it will start to go back down. WW is not a fast weight loss program. Trust me ! I lost 93 lbs, but some weeks I was up. Hang in there and don't quit !

Probably nothing. I've shot up a couple of pounds one week and then the next it flew away plus a pound or two. Don't fret.

Could be anything. Too many calories, too much salt, not enough water, too many 0 point foods etc. Too many things left unanswered. The short explanation is that unless you have a calorie deficit you’re not going to lose weight. and keep in mind that if you just started exercising sore muscles can retain water and increase your weight on the scale temporarily.

Water retention. You may have even been a little dehydrated at your last weigh in. Things like hormones, sodium, and when you last used the bathroom all take part in it. The amount of calories and lack of movement it would take to gain 4 lbs of fat in a week is nearly impossible. If we gained at that rate we would all be way way heavier. Pay attention to body changes instead of just numbers on the scale.

No worries now I woke up this morning and sure enough the scale moved , I drank more water and that helped
