Good morning!  I am looking for tips for the best way to weigh food items on a scale.Good morning! I am looking for tips for the best way to weigh food items on a scale. Do you line the base of the scale with parchment paper for meats, seafood? I appreciate the advice.

I use a paper plate or for dry stuff a paper towel.

I Put the receptacle on the scale before I turn it on. It then goes to zero with the bowl on the scale.
