I just made the 2 ingredient bagels today and my son said they tasted a little sour to him. Do you think it could be because I used off brand yogurt and not the Fage? I did add blueberries to the top, but does anybody have suggestions on how to maybe change up the flavor a little bit for an 11 year old? Thanks!

@monologue and calzones! I come on this website to get healthy recipe ideas for me and my son, I don't really follow weight watchers so maybe all put a little less yogurt little more flour since I'm not super concerned about points, it's still healthier than a regular bagel. Maybe that will work

I hadn't thought of calzones! I did see a recipe for pop tarts

I've made them 3 times using different brands of yogurt. Still can't eat them. Sour taste.

@sexlimited250 thank you, I will try that! Nobody ever taught me how to eat healthy growing up. Coming from a super overweight family, even a couple 500 pounders, it just wasn't something that was talked about so by the time I was 25 I weighed almost 400 pounds. When my son came to me, at 11 and said he wanted to try to start eating healthy I thought this would be the perfect way to incorporate healthy meals. Hes only about 20 pounds overweight for his age so this is a perfect time to nip it in the bud before it comes in life time issue for him as well.

@sexlimited250 wow, that's amazing! I am about 280 now, but I haven't actively tried those weight for about a year. I like that he is interested because it is a nice kick start and some accountability for me

Greek yogurt is sour by nature, so I doubt it has anything to do with the brand. They're more like sourdough bread to me, which isn't my favorite‍♀️

They do have a sour dough taste. I don’t notice it anymore tho.
