Confession: I had a cinnamon roll from Panera Bread today. It was 29 points. 29. Points. I even chose to eat it knowing that Friday nights are pizza nights.  I’m kind of ashamed. I will be walking (low speed) on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes tonight, but that doesn’t really justify the cinnamon roll. I’m also obsessing about my weight and I know I need to stop. Have any of you ever eaten WAY more points than you were supposed to and still lost?

I started January 15th. Always stay within my points and rarely use weeklies. Today I used all my points and a few weeklies. I don’t feel bad for doing so as I have been tracking every day and have lost 25 lbs so far. Sometimes you just need a splurge. mine today was 4 cheese sticks. lol

Forgive yourself and focus on the future. Try mental imaging. Picture yourself one size smaller and the scale 10 lbs. thinner. You got this!

In the beginning when I would hit a plateau I would go out for a high point meal or dessert. My favorite was to get a cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory at 60 points and it helped to break every plateau. Then I decided to start treating myself to that yummy cheesecake about every 6-8 weeks plateau or not and still lost. I successfully lost 70lbs and have been on maintenance for 15 months.

It happens to all of us-don’t stress it. I have fallen off plan (and still do) more times than i can count. But each time, I get back on, stay longer, and make better choices. It’s a process of personal growth that’s always ongoing.

Just knowing the points and how much it would take up for the day is still better then just eating and not taking notice the food at all Start tomorrow on track again

I do it more often than I care to admit.  I have been in the negative on weeklies! I try really hard to always track and I try to keep it lower in points but it doesn’t always work out that way when you work 12 hour shifts. ‍♀️

If most days you are doing better than before, then give yourself grace. Sometimes you just want something and you have to have it. I could see where some people might get eating disorders off of programs like this. You are literally training your brain to track every single thing that goes into your mouth. It can be obsessive. My advice honestly is just give yourself grace. If you want something bad enough have it. If you can leave it, then leave it.

Last week was a week coming off of a three day vacation and I just could NOT get back in the swing of things. I ate bad food (not a bad portion) but I definitely didn’t eat a good amount of weight watcher approved stuff. Over the course of the week and weekend I ate three bundles from Nothing bundt cakes and Sunday night I had McDonald’s chicken nuggets and fries. I felt horrible and stepped on that scale knowing I gained but I actually lost 2. 2 pounds! The best part of trying to change your life is not depriving yourself. If you want a cinnamon roll then eat it. If you constantly down yourself for making a mistake you’ll never be successful. Take this day as a day where you indulged, feel better tomorrow and start a fresh!

Of course we all have binged on a wonderful dessert or dinner. Look at it as a marathon not a sprint. Just eat better most of the time and you will be fine

I did, had a super sized big Mac meal, three apple pies and an unsweet tea, lost ten pounds after being plateaued for two weeks

@pilloff91 I know, also was going to quit, nine years ago when it happened, but my leader said I did one thing right, unsweetened tea, lol, many years later we still laugh about this.

I used to buy snicker bars cut them into 8 pieces and put them in Ziploc bags and throw them in different spots in my freezer and when I really needed to have something I would have to dig through my freezer to find a small piece of chocolate and it was worth it to have that small piece and it would take a lot longer to eat it because it was frozen and although it was a piece of candy it was well worth the once in awhile treat. There's not a one of us who hasn't broken down and bought a donut or pizza or an ice cream sundae or something or sat down and ate a box of Little Debbie's in a moment of weakness. We are all human we just have to get back on track. It's like a drug addict. Some of us are addicted to food we just I have to consider the Slipknot a relapse and get right back on our program

Just make a u - turn sort of speak. You start fresh tomorrow, your points reset. Learn from your mistakes and do better  You DIDNT eat a box of cinnamon rolls  you did get on the treadmill you are already trying to figure out how to make a change Change does NOT happen over night and you did not gain weight over night. You can’t eat an elephant all at once as the saying goes you do it one bite at a time. Be kind to yourself  you’ve got this you are already on the right track Keep it up and don’t give up and remember you are human.

*hugs* been there. Especially with the obsessing part. I just want to say. honey, one day isn't going to make or break you. Even if the choices you made this night doesn't help you lose or causes a slight blip on the scale, it's what you do with all the other days that matters.

One day a week I cheat, I track, go way over, but I give myself one day to splurge and use my daily and weekly left over points. I’m celebrating my birthday #50 at my favorite Italian restaurant so I’m just enjoying the evening then back on track.

I do calorie cycling so 4 days a week I eat only my dailies then 3 days a week I try to eat most of my weeklies. Keeps the body guessing.

I always get confused with posts like this. That’s why we have weekly points correct? Why is everyone using the word “cheating”. As long as you log your points in the logger and you are not in an negative point situation, you are NOT cheating. Please take my word for this. I have been doing ww since I was 14 (now 47 lol). It’s not cheating! You’re following the plan, that’s all. My weeklies renew every Friday and you can bet your bottom dollar that I spend some of them on the weekend. Yesterday was a fifty point day for me and I still lost 2. 2lbs overall. So my advice to you is to not feel guilty and enjoy the plan.

It’s an eye opener to see how many points things are, even as much as a little piece of cheddar cheese as a snack. Before starting WW and counting points, I would have discounted that little piece of cheese as nothing. just thinking ‘ I had a salad for lunch’ why don’t I lose? Just use this as an aha moment. I am only two weeks in and boy am I learning a lot!  you got this girl!

I think it’s important for lifetime success to indulge when it’s “worth it” I went winetasting with my friends and I had a beautiful day I didn’t obsess on points I had charcuterie board three wineries etc. I just put 50 points in to track something I have no idea what I ate as far as points goes. But I had a blessed time with my friends and maybe I didn’t lose but I think when we restrict ourselves so much and don’t indulge in the things that are important at the time it does us more harm than good. I’ve learned to not indulge when I’m just mindlessly eating it. But when it means something and I really enjoy it I think it’s important we allow ourselves to without guilt. Intuitive eating.

If WW is your lifestyle, you will inevitably have occasions when you eat a bunch more points than your allotment. That's just life. Unlike a diet where you are perfect and don't think about needing a plan forever, get where you want to and then magically think you can go back to your old way of eating, in the real world of lifestyle changes, you'll over eat sometimes. Obsessing makes it worse. Just get in the habit of getting right back on program the next meal, and you'll be ok! Big picture! Good luck!
