I really like being part of this group. The first time I did WW, Mark Zuckerberg was probably in Junior High and Facebook was not even an idea. I so much appreciate how this group brings us all together. The suggestions and encouraging comments are a great way to support each other who are unable to get to meetings. Over the years, I have seen the scale go up and down. Four pregnancies, years of working wacky shifts, "drama induced binge eating", and an unhealthy love affair with eating. I am blessed to have a big beautiful family, but every occasion is full of dietary pitfalls. I am finally learning that one bite of pizza, cake, cookie etc. can be enough. It can be satisfying to hone my self control skills. This morning, as I weighed myself ( down 24. 5 pounds since November, thank you very much), I remember when the numbers were " creeping up", and I hit this weight thinking, " Wow, how can I be so fat? " But now, that I am in a place where I am ready to attack my bad habits, and commit to a healthier life, that number on the scale gives me joy, because I'm headed in the right direction! There are people on here that are heavier than me, and many who are thinner than me. I need to remember to be grateful for where I am. What I have now, others are praying for. This post got much longer than I intended, but thank you all for being my support on this journey You are all precious.
I really like being part of this group.
