Hi I found a recipe on Pinterest that is called weight watchers orange fluff. There was no point value to it and I’ve modified it. It’s 16 oz of cottage cheese I use low fat, a 8 Oz container of cool whip I use the lite, 15 Oz can of crushed pineapple packed in juice drained , and I use a package of sugar free orange jello. Mix everything together and chill then serve. It said one serving but didn’t tell how much! My question is how would I go about figuring out the serving size and the points per each serving ? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I’ve eaten it for a dessert or a late day snack. Really tasty. Thanks in advance

Put it in recipe builder. It'll give you points per serving once you tell it the serving size

@sluggard . so far I haven't been able to get that to work for me. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or I'm just stupid

Do you not have access to the online calculator? Or the bar scanner? If so, use them.

I would expect that a half cup would be considered a serving size. I would use that for a portion size. You could use the amounts of all the items and divide that by half a cup. That would give you an idea of how many servings it makes. Or, just take a half cup measure and scoop and see how many you get.

4 Points if you have 8 servings

If the entire recipe fits in a four cup measuring cup, you would have 8 servings (1/2 cup serving). So assuming 22 points is accurate by recipe builder p, it would divide out to 2+ points, so round up to 3 points per serving.

My stepmother belonged to WW in the 1970s and used to make it. She even called it orange fluff. I used to make something like that with pecans.

I made this last night with sugar free orange jello, sugar free cool whip and non fat cottage cheese with mandarin oranges and pineapple. Very good. I think zero pts for 1/2 cup serving.

Do you blend the cottage cheese smooth or leave as is?

@marylandmarylee10 I leave the cottage cheese as it is and I’m NOT a cottage cheese eater. It’s delicious

@marylandmarylee10 mix jello with cottage cheese before adding anything else.

I measure out how much ff cottage cheese I want to eat (count points) add orange sf jello (to taste 0 pts), mix well & add canned, drained mandarin oranges (0 pts) & enjoy! Very filling. Sometimes I’ll add Nabisco Good Thins Corn crackers on the side for crunch (41 = 3 pts! )

Decide how large the serving. Then, actually measure how much it made. So, if it made 4 cups finished product and you use a half cup as your serving, divide to get the points.

Put the ingredients I to the "Create Recipe" maker online.

The whole recipe is 36 points per the builder- most from the cool whip (it’s 1 point for 2 T or 25 for the tub). Divide that by the number of servings you get
