Yes! And even if someone isn’t losing weight at least they’re not gaining. And they’re learning to eat healthier.

Of course it is! How long did it take you to put the weight on? You want to take it off slow and steady. That way you'll keep it off.

If you work the program-HONESTLY-such as tracking, making smart choices when eating out, attending workshops, and moving your body, your health WILL improve!

I just reached my goal today! It took me 8 months but it’s better to lose slowly than quickly because if you lose quickly you tend to gain it back. Weight watchers is a lifestyle change not a diet! It teaches you to be a healthier you! You hav two choose for yourself whether you want to do it or not. You have to be consistent and continue to tell yourself why you are wanting to lose the weight.

Definitely works if you really follow the plan and look back at portions and such. lots of zero point choices which is awesome but too much of anything will add up. Example- eggs and chicken are zero points, but if you eat a HUGE amount, plus your daily points, that’s probably not gonna work. Also, it’s definitely slower losing the older you are, in my experience. In my 20s I could drop 5 lbs per week, but in my early 40s, I’ll take 1 lb per week ‍♀️

I definitely think it is. If I wouldn’t have joined when I did, I’d be up over 200 lbs. and not down 12. 8 lbs. P. S. I’m short too.

Yes! Because once you find your niche you can do this. Is it a lot of work? Yes! Does it take time? Yes! Does it require accepting change? Yes! But it’s worth it!

I had my surgery in August and the only time I felt better is when I began working out like even five minutes intense workout three months later. so try to get some rest until you can walk or do light exercises.

Everyone is different. I joined two years ago and had steady small losses I couldn’t do on my own. Now down 70 lbs. I could never have had that success without WW!

Yes worth it. You have to make sure you track all your foods. Just because it says free doesn't mean you go crazy and continue to eat like crazy. U only eat to you feel full.

You are worth it, but not until you feel committed. its a journey that has a proven track record!

Yes this It’s the best, healthiest, program, in my opinion, available. Remember, it’s about 80% diet and 20% exercise. Change your eating habits change your life

I lost 100 my first year an 80 the second. I'd say it works you have to know how to make it work is the key.

Staying the same or losing at a snail's pace is still better than gaining. You will feel better and eventually the scale will go down! Trust the process.

I have never posted to this group but I had to respond. The worth of trying to lose weight is purely personal. For me it's worth it. I didn't gain a pound every day or every week so I have no expectation that it's going to fall off like melting ice. I have lost six pounds my first month. It's worth it see the non scale related loss. It's worth it to put on my pants and need a belt to keep them in place. It's worth it to know my better food choices are working and it's worth it to have the support of others that understand.

You get out of it what you put into it. Remember even free foods still have calories. My friend could not u derstand why she was not losing. She started counting all the calories she consumed. there was her answer!

Even if you don’t lose as fast as you want, it helps you feel in control.

We tend to post one more discouraged. For me it’s been a rough week and a half for emotional reasons work reasons and the fact that we’re moving out of the house we loved on a property we loved. Overall I’ve been doing this since the day after Thanksgiving and I’ve lost 20 pounds. It’s been very doable I’ve had celebrations with people and eat in the food they’ve eaten just half portions and no seconds. For me the key is tracking if I track everything I eat goes into my mouth I will lose weight. If I don’t track best case scenario is staying the same. I will say that sometimes the weight loss isn’t in the week that I feel I made the most effort but the week after it.

You should aim for 1-2 lbs a week to keep it off some people don’t understand that.

Those are the ones that think Zero foods mean you can eat 20 bananas a day or 12 pieces of chicken. Also keep in mind many of them don’t really attend weight watchers meetings. They come here to get all they can for free and don’t actually follow the program like they should. Trust me if you join weight watchers and do the program you will lose weight. I’ve lost 67 pounds on weight watchers. And that’s a small loss compared to some. Our WW instructors lost 105lbs.

@nadabb This is an untrue statement. I Am on green and rarely eat my weeklies and am barely losing. I have lost 4 pounds in 7 weeks. I think it depends how much weight you have to lose. If it’s not Much your weight loss will be slow even if You follow program
by (2.5k points)
@quinquereme no it doesn’t matter how much you have to lose. I’ve seen small people lose weight easily as long as they’re doing the program correctly.
by (2.5k points)
@quinquereme maybe you need to change from green to a different color.
by (730 points)
@nadabb yeah I dont agree with this statement at all! I follow the program, haven't missed any meetings and I'm losing about 0. 2 a week. I also exercise so, dont assume we are eating our weight in zero point foods and sabotaging ourselves and then whining about not losing weight.
by (1.8k points)
@nadabb I am on Green because I wanted to be accountable for everything I eat. I literally log everything. The only thing I could be doing wrong is not eating enough points. I am trying to eat more this week and going to look into WW coaching. I see a lot of posts from people that say they are following the program and not losing weight. I am one of those people. I am losing slowly very very slowly
by (2.5k points)
@quinquereme then change up the program and try Blue. I bet it’ll help you. Please let me know how it goes. Wishing you the best.
by (1.8k points)
@nadabb Thank You. I am beyond frustrated and sad I want to lose 20 pounds and at this rate it will take me a year
by (2.5k points)
@quinquereme you’re most welcome.
by (1.8k points)
@nadabb I was on blue and I was afraid I was eating too many zero foods so I switched to green

Yes it is. So many factors play into why they aren’t losing. Can be several reasons, but their weight will go down.

When I joined, after doing a year on Keto, (BTW I lost 27 lbs) then I gained 7 lbs back, unable to sustain the lack of carbs in my diet. I remembered my friend had started WW same time I started Keto. She had gone from a size 12 down to a size 4! So I knew it worked. I decided to join with a promo of 3 months free. I have lost the initial 7 lbs plus a couple more. It’s taken a couple of months but I’m pleased! I’m 4 lbs away from goal. I am not deprived of any food group and I am super satisfied. BTW I’m on the green plan. Give it a try. What do you have to lose? Weight? Join with one of the promos that offer 1 to 3 months free. If you don’t like it cancel! Good luck!

So i joined in november. I had the holidays staring me in the face. I didnt want to gain my usual 10 pounds. So i followed the plan. Thanksgiving and the Christmas parties i did go over (way over. ) But over all now i am at 30 pounds lost. I was a size 14 and now im a size 6. So yea its absolutely worth it. Just have to do what works for you. Track everything all of it. If you notice you lose more this week then last look at the meal differences n snacks n free foods.

If you loose it slowly it gives your skin time to tighten compared to rapid Weightloss. Very important when you want to feel good in your own skin.

Being accountable with tracking points makes the program worth while. I feel the green program is the best for me.
by (6.1k points)
@dougall2, I had been on WW years ago. Green seemed the closest to the old plan. I want to teach everything and only have fruits and veggies as free points. I just feel that all the free items on the other plans would cause me to eat too much. Just my personal thoughts. Everyone has unique needs!

Everyone loses weight at a different rate and with different programs. If you are expecting a miracle that no it's not worth it because nothing that you don't want to take the time or effort to put into it is not worth it if you think it's just going to do it by itself. There are some people that this will not work for because they aren't willing to do the work or maybe there are medical reasons or other reasons that this is not the program or plan for them. Go to the doctor Maybe and sit down and talk to them and then maybe a nutritionist and sit down and talk to them. I am not on Weight Watchers myself but I am reading everyday and following a lot of their guidelines. I had bariatric surgery 8 years ago as I'm sure some of the people on here have done I've fallen off but not all the way off due to health problems depression and other things that happened in my life. I am now back down 20 of the 30 32 lb that I gained over the past 3 years but it is through my perseverance and my vigilance and the desire to do this. Three of those pounds are in the past nine days because I am really stepping it up. If you don't want to be consistent and really put forth the effort then again it's not for you but look at the many many people that it has been successful for don't just look for the people that it hasn't
