I took pills for my prep! So much better. if you can get them do it! Lots of mango Italian ice too. Just make sure you have something ready to eat once you’re done!

@hello I always make my husband take me out for a big breakfast after my procedure! What were the pills for your prep. I’m going in 2 weeks.

I think it was Osmoprep. I can’t remember the amount of pills but you took 4 rounds of pills in an hour and then waited and took 4 more rounds in the next hour. It was easy, chugged some crystal light and Gatorade and didn’t worry about chugging any liquids.

I didn't track for the two days. You shouldn't gain anything.

I just had one I could eat veggies and fruit, just nothing with nuts.

The prep is different for different things they are looking for—routine ones in healthy people are pretty easy. If you have or if they are looking for IBD/crohn’s than they really want you cleaned out—no veggies, no fruit with skin or seeds (like berries) and no whole grains/high fiber foods. I’d say don’t track or save up weekly points. It should even itself out.

The last thing you need to worry about is tracking. Best of luck.

Do the best you can! No red, orange or purple anything! You can get white grape juice; drink clear broths, iced tea, flavored water (though better with out the bubbles). You’ll go fine.

Hopefully you are joking about the drinks! They go in and all too quickly come out again. Just count the 2 days as a loss for tracking

You will be ok - it’s not pleasant at all but you will survive - honestly you aren’t even hungry

I just estimated but I’m sure I was way low on points that day.

Don't count those days at all. Get back when you are done

I just had one today and I didn’t track yesterday. The jello and chicken broth was just to survive! And the lemonade I had to drink as a chaser to the gross prep mix was necessary calories. The prep day of not eating is extremely stressful as it is, so don’t worry about the empty drink calories. Do what gets you through it! I was down 3 lbs at the procedure this morning from weigh in Monday. Just get back to tracking the day after! Good luck!

First of all, good for you having a colonoscopy! Even if you can’t track exactly, not to worry, no way you’ll gain weight, the colonoscopy could save your life. I know what I’m talking about, just get back on track after. Good luck to you.

I really don’t think you can track the prep liquid but maybe the clear foods before the prep can be tracked?

Just had one done and I decided not to bother counting. Worked out because all of the fluid that I lost took me down a few pounds anyway.

Endoscopy nurse here! You can always use propel or smart water flavors if you’re not a fan of Gatorade FYI but we encourage some type of sports drink bc of the electrolytes !

Just went through that with my husband diet Gatorade has some good flavors the orange taste pretty good the glacial cherry isn’t bad Kroger’s has them Myers has them Walmart has them. The most important thing is as soon as you can afterwards chew mylicon for the gas because you can get incredible gas pain a few hours later if you don’t

I never knew broth could taste so good!  Colonoscopies are not hard at all, although the prep tastes nasty! If you’re over 50 years old, go get a colonoscopy! ♥️
