Has anyone tried Hello Fresh with weight watchers? I love the convenience but I feel as if their foods might be high in points so I want to see what everyone’s experience has been

I think the points are all about 10 or higher unless you tweak them by using no oil and light sour cream over regular - even if you get the low calorie. If you tweak too much it doesn’t make sense to buy and get the ingredients

@newsome exactly how I’m feeling  it’s hard because my boyfriend LOVES the meals, but I can’t eat 10+ point dinners every night

@newsome have free or low point foods for breakfast and lunch.

@unlucky221 it’s harder now with limited grocery store access

Blue Apron has a WW menu. It’s great!

@norean4 I'm glad you commented, I've been curious how good the WW menu was!

They are pretty high in points. I still order them but instead of having it be for 2 people I cut the portions into 4 and pair with some fruit or veggies.

I have and the food is great! Especially now, with grocery shopping being so difficult. The points are high, but there are veggie meals to choose from and ways “tweak” the calories lower. I highly suggest it.

I love Hello Fresh! They have calorie smart options to choose from. I do the 3 meals a week option, and you can always skip a week if you dont like the meal options. It's very convenient and the food has always been delivered fresh. I would definitely recommend.

How do you “tweak” some of the meals? My boyfriend and I had the beef bibimbap bowls tonight and I almost cried after reading how many points it was

@prowler did you calculate the nutrition facts or input the items separately?

We've done hello fresh and Blue apron. Blue has a WW menu. one of the recipes this week has 7 total points on purple! It gives you point totals and a bar code to scan in the WW app for tracking the meal.

The idea of cutting meals in half and pairing with a salad or other fruit/veggie is a great idea!

I love Home Chef and have been extremely successful with it. I love it! I typically tweak the recipe as others suggest and cut the oil, cheese, butter, crunchy toppings, etc in half. It doesn’t go to waste because I put the extra cheese and toppings on my husband’s portion. There are lots of great chicken and salmon options (you can customize the meals by choosing your protein). A lot of the meals are pretty much just protein and veggies and pretty low in carbs. I am also gluten free so I naturally stay away from the pasta dishes. I also swap out cauliflower rice for the rice dishes or do 1/2 cauliflower rice and 1/2 regular rice. Sometimes there are some good sauces and I just use less on my portion. I enter the items and amounts that I use into the recipe builder and usually end up with 5-8 points per meal. On occasion I may end up with one that is 10 points or so, but I just plan ahead and work it into my day. And you could always add a salad.

My sister used to have HelloFresh with ww. She chose the vegetarian or chicken options and sometimes switched a dressing or sauce

Did Hello Fresh for a while - put the information into My recipes to see the points. Some a high. Dinners are good but a little expensive. We changed to Dinnerly - get 3 dinners a week. Do the same with the information. Have to watch how the items are cooked before you pick them in either one. I usually look at my portions and give husband bigger portions. It is great to get a box and know we have dinner for several nights. Husband and I do it together. Gives us an interesting evening.
