Anyone out there know if stress/anxiety really burns calories? I didn't eat well by any means but still lost 3lbs so I'm wondering if the constant stress had any play in that

That depends on the person. Because if it did I would be a size 0, not the BBW that I am.

me too haha. Praying everyone can take deep breaths this stress isn’t good for any of us but I feel like it’s making me make bad food choices for sure.

If anything higher cortisol levels (chemical attached to anxiety) slows down the metabolism, not speed it up. In high anxiety/stress, the body usually goes into "starvation mode".

But everyones different! Some people eat less when they're stressed, some eat more, etc. Who knows.

From what I read, short-term stress does increase your metabolism, but it can also make you eat much more high calorie food. So it depends on how much and what you eat. On the long term it increases fat storage in the belly area

I gain a couple of pounds and can’t get them off when I’m stressed. Same diet and exercise as when I lose.

Maybe. But maybe not. Keep an eye on yourself over next few weeks. If at all concerned . Visit your Doctor. It doesnt pay to just guess at things. Probably nothing to worry about tho.

It honestly depends on the person cause for me extreme stress causes me to loose weight no matter what I eat. I could eat a candy bar for breakfast a burger for lunch and pizza for dinner for 2 weeks straight but if I’m stressed I will loose 20 lbs in that 2 weeks
