I have old plans from like 10/15 years ago. Might I use them, I will still lose weight? No need to buy one of these new “coloured” plans.

I lost 90 lbs last year doing an older plan (one with a slider) :) Nothing against the new plans, I just had the material and it's free.

What I like is the ability to switch between the plans now.

I really like the 1-2-3 Success plan and also the Core plan worked really well for me.

I use the old plan and it works just like it did before! I've lost a few pounds that had crept back on after 10 yrs and I can maintain during the tough weeks which keeps me from blowing a whole week!

They work but the science evolves making better choices for your health. Like higher protein etc

I still do the old plan. Kinda fallen off track though! And I love my slider!
by (10k points)
This is a hard time to stay on track but we know the plan works, we just have to do it. I'm struggling too but have to remind myself that I can do this!

I use the original points plan. I know it, its free and no $ going to Oprah. Also the itrackbites app is free and supports the plan under Conquering Cravings.

I use an old plan (Simply Filling), paper and pen track and journal, AND attend meetings. I need the accountability of weighing in, I can get something from the meeting, I enjoy seeing old and new friends, and we out at Denny’s afterwards. Their menu allows us to eat WW or not. I realize I am retired and not all are at my point in life, but I sure have been missing all this during the shutdown.

I personally like the old plan best! Still gave my books & slider!

The only differences may be: that the point counts for foods have changed, the number of daily points you get and the zero point foods (green - 100 zero pts - only fruits and most vegs; blue - 200 zeros- all fruits and vegs, chicken/turkey breast, all fish/seafood; and purple - 300 zeros - blue + 100 more - whole grains, some whole wheat product, rice, popcorn, quinoa etc)

Guess one can say, I have a car from the 1940’s do I really need a car from 2020 with its modern amenities and efficiencies, the refinements from lessons learned over the years. Your choice! Why would you resort to old school when you have available new knowledge that can improve on success? Progress comes from lessons learned. In the late 60’s and early70’s you could not have banana’s and had to eat liver once a week. You could even go that far back. The current 3 plans provide versatility for people to choose from according to their preference in food choices. These plans are based on earlier plans. Choosing an up to date plan arms you with lots of knowledge as to your particular weakness towards foods that may cause you to loose control. I suggest you research them carefully, bet one of them will work for you.

The app isn’t going to work with the old plans and the app is great! Recipes, exercises, freebies, etc. the app is motivational all on its own. But to answer your question - yes all plans new and old will enable a lifestyle to lose weight.

@tonne6696 plus I don’t want to use an app! I physically journal everything I eat! It works!

The idea is to make a permanent change to your life style. Not a diet that you go on and than go off and gain the weight.
