Not happy about the rewards option only being donation. No logical reason for that. I’m donating to my local food pantry and the City Mission on my own, so I know exactly where my money is going. What happened to all the products? Would like to have an explanation from WW

If it upsets you that much, sending an email to WW would be a better idea than to post in a Facebook group. However, the promo is only going until June. You are more than welcome to hang onto your rewards and cash them in once the promotion is over.

@lytic I was told July when I called

@drawtube ah, could be different because I’m in Canada.

They've sent numerous emails out about it. In a a few weeks regular gifts will be available. Just wait until then.

@keepsake Riegelman never received any emails regarding this Been a member almost 3 years

@schizothymia me either!

I got like 3 or 4 of them. So maybe check your junk mail guys? But they have talked about it in emails before and the group has too.

Maybe they closed or cut back at the Warehouse due to the pandemic.
by (4.7k points)
@frida I agree, I imagine that the staff involved in making these deliveries happen are sheltering at home, as this (sending WW rewards) is not considered essential business.

You're not being forced to use them right now. It's an incentive to the program and it's likely based on the current pandemic that items aren't available so they're giving you an option to give back. they're not forcing anyone to redeem.

It thinks it is good to donate. Who needs another water bottle or socks
by (5k points)
@cudweed yes obviously donating when you can is great. However maybe someone needs that thermal tumbler because they work as an essential worker and theirs has just had too much washing in last little while or that actual reward for getting to the point they are at now. Maybe all those essential workers socks are so dirty and they dont have time to do laundry. Or Maybe some people need that hopefulness of getting something in the mail that isnt a bill.
by (2k points)
@cudweed I completely agree. The weight loss is enough of a motivator for me. What am I going to do with another water bottle? Nothing! What’s 60 meals to a family? Possibly survival! I get better satisfaction of giving and helping others. So donating is a no brained for me. I’m not loosing out and someone is gaining so much! Each to their own I suppose
by (8.8k points)
@cudweed and I DO donate.
by (4.7k points)
@schizothymia I imagine that WW employees responsible for sending out these rewards are not considered essential business, and they are at home, sheltering in place. When they are able to return to work, they can begin distributing your rewards again.

No one is forcing anyone to donate their rewards. That isn’t the only option. The other option is to hang on to them and wait until the products are available again.

So when I called I got told that it was because this was a member request, members were asking about how to do more to help and what was weight watchers doing. I think like many businesses weight watchers is wanting to make a big huge corporate donation and this is how they’re making it happen
by (1.9k points)
@drawtube, I believe that WW is going to match what the members donate up to a $$$ amount they've set.
by (8.8k points)
@drawtube there’s always been donation options, but now that’s the only option
by (14.7k points)
@schizothymia there is another option, hang onto your rewards until products are available again
by (7.9k points)
@schizothymia yeah that was what I called about

Yes, no logical reason  all those people out of work due to this world wide pandemic who don't have any savings (because believe it or not there are people who live paycheck to paycheck or even worse) could really benefit from people who do have the means to do so. It should say more about a company, that you support with your business by the way, wanting to donate and help those in need than their decision to pause your $10 reward does. What's your address? I'd love to send you a tumbler and socks, maybe some WW snacks. I do believe this is what you're in need of, correct?
by (6.6k points)
@sannyasi214 little rude don’t ya think? This group has become very catty. I posted a similar feeling yesterday. I don’t believe she is saying that she wants something but she wants the option. She also said she donates to her local food pantry. No need to be a smart ass and ask to send her socks or a tumbler.
by (230 points)
What a rude reply! It’s upto the individual what they do with it not you! Mind your own! pointless do gooder comment
by (650 points)
@sannyasi214 and you don’t know what their situation is either. There are plenty of people here who fit into that exact situation you just explained. Heaven forbid they use THEIR rewards for themselves because it might be their little splurge right?
by (510 points)
Rude? No. Blunt? Yes. These first world problems over the wins on this page. Come on. And I'm genuinely serious - If someone needs a pick-me-up, I'd be happy to ship whatever kind of item someone is in need of. Everyday is a new chance to help, not to be heedless.

Why don't you call WW instead of airing it here?
by (310 points)
@diligence Bye-Clark because she’s trying to find out other members opinions. Why do you think?
by (2.9k points)
Heather. she clearly stated she wants an explanation from WW. Easy sport! No drama needed!
by (7.9k points)
@diligence Bye-Clark I called weight watchers with the exact same question and basically what you get told is that this is their way of allowing members to contribute because of the virus. Weight watchers is a company has made a promise for how much money they are going to donate and all of these wins to get donated go towards that number. It’s a way for them to actually have to contribute less and the members assume part of the cost

Go to WW page, click “Press” for their explanation of donations.

They have enough money to donate themselves. I agree this is the time to help others but I don’t like large corporations asking regular people many of whom need donations themselves to donate.

It’s very simple, you have a choice, they are not forcing this on anyone and, in a world where we can be anything, be nice.

Good God. it’s not like it’s been a year that you haven’t been able to get products for Well Wins. it’s been a FEW weeks. I LOVE the fact that WW figured out how to help. We are ALL in this together. My hubby and I donated nearly 13, 000 wins total for the one produce donation before the other food donations started. now tracking away for more wins to add up. To the OP, save your wins. ‍♀️

How do I get rewards. I didn't know that they existed
by (1.3k points)
Every time you track a meal of fitness you get wellness wins of I think 5. Look for the little gift icon at the bottom in the app. If you go in there, it will tell you how many you have and what you can get with the wins.

Why not give it to people in need especially in this desperate time .
by (7.9k points)
@acarology Because there’s no way of knowing where it’s going and it is not given locally and it’s not necessarily giving in this country. That’s what ww told me when I called
