My new norm is talking to myself. No one can hear me except the cats and they already think I’m crazy.

I would love to walk but it has been damn cold here! Today and yesterday it finally go up to +2. Windchill still down to -10 and lower. And we had snow again today so getting around has been a challenge. The sidewalks have not been cleared and the roads are still slippery. I can't wait to get out in the sunshine and walk some of these pounds off. I would go to the gym but it's closed.

My elderly parents and my daughter live with me. I've been off work since March 16. My daughter is a nurse at a retirement home. Thankful for this extra time with my parents. Thankful my daughter's work is virus free so far. Baking more but either freeze half or give half to my son. He has his own place and is still working so lots of worrying.

My new normal is ordering groceries from instacart instead of shopping for them myself ( which I actually enjoy) I’m not quite as paranoid with the quarantine protocol after they arrive. It used to bring on a lot of anxiety disinfecting everything, doubting myself that I was doing it properly. I’ve fallen into an easy 10 minute you tube exercise routine in the afternoon. That’s the best thing that has come of this pandemic in my now sheltered life. That helps tremendously for the mental state of being home day after day. I’m immune compromised, so i had to accept I’m just going out for drives around town and that’s it. I feed the squirrels, go outside and kick the soccer ball around with my sons or shoot some hoops with them. Just trying to stay positive in a crappy, scary situation. Every Friday, my family gets curbside take out and I drink wine lol.
