Ugh - I've been such a HORROR since Christmas, not tracking and not going to meetings. I need to really focus and get back on track, but WHY is it so hard? I'm sick of the yo-yo that is created by none other than me. Sorry, I just had to vent. <3

This is me. I mindlessly eat crap and sweets like they are going away forever. I feel so disgusted and all the hard work is shot. I’ve gained back 30 pounds and now I’m down 5 I know it’s a slow process but I feel like a failure and that leads to more secretly eating candy and chips in bed ‍♀️. I wish I could get my mind to sync up and the overeater would listen to the practical side.

I understand this. I had a lot of success with WW in 2011/2012 and stuck to it for a while then gained gained and it’s been a yo yo of dropping 30lbs and gaining 30lbs  gotta find that will power. The daily stresses are worse now than at that time too which doesn’t help at all.

I basically took about 8 months last year and didn’t diet. After two years off yo yo dieting and still gaining 5 lbs each year I needed a break. So this year I’m starting fresh and trying to get in mind set that this will take a long time and mistakes will happen but I need to get right back on board.

Ladies, I have found it is a day by day by day adventure! If you get through Monday, look to Tuesday. If you slip on Wednesday, just go on to Thursday. And the weekends. I got nothing! That is my kryptonite!

Omg you’re me and that was what I literally was just thinking before I saw your post! And the sad part is no one can do it for me . I’ve lost my edge a bit and have been a yo-yo with 5 pounds since beginning of @perviousecember. tired of it and really want a swift kick in the ass to get back on track too! Go to the meetings let’s break it down one step at a time !

I did the same exact thing and I kept trying to get back on track and I would do good for a few days and then I’d start eating like crap again. Just start small even if it’s just a day or two just to get back into the swing of things. I can happily say that it is my first full week back on track it’s been hard but I am feeling like I am back into my routine again. I know you will get back at it just take it one day at a time!

You can do it. I do believe you have to come to a place where you really want to. Hang in there. Give yourself grace.

Aww @lachance. It’s VERY hard everyday. I gained 15 pounds from October all the way until @horrifyuary 1 . I didn’t track not one time and actually I really didn’t care but as I watched my numbers go up I showed up every Thursday for my meeting. I ate myself around the world until I was done. @perviouson’t feel disgusted which I know it’s hard but what I would say get back into your meetings at least because that’s where you will truly find support, compassion and love.

Same here. I am usually very motivated and strict but for some reason I can’t get back on track 100%.

Because your brain is telling you it’s hard. Start by going to a meeting, even if you don’t want to track then set a very small goal like I will walk in place for 5 seconds for ex

Set mini goals to hey yourself through today! It gets easier, as you know!

My last comment was cut short. For exercise, this is such a small goal your brain will say this is so easy. Take any challenge and break it down to real small goals then reward yourself with non food things like watching a movie etc. you’ll be fine.

Same here. I thought I would never get my momentum back. I started slowly, it took two weeks, but finally I am in motion again. Try not to bear yourself up. You care enough to post your concerns, so you have it in you to slowly start back. You've got this!

I'm not a WW fan. @perviousid the yo yo dieting for years and years. Concentrate on eating less and moving more. I finally learned my lesson. It is the first time in my life that I've lost 45 lbs and actually kept it off for 2 years
by (400 points)
@underweight Henderson why are you in this group if you are not a fan of WW?
by (270 points)
@gupta I third it.

@underweight Henderson wondering the same thing?
by (190 points)
@tangram I have no idea. It comes up on my news feed
by (190 points)
Okay there folks don't know how I got into it. How do i get out. I'm not a believer. Pls don't trash me for my beliefs.
by (190 points)
Thank you. WW sets 90% up for failure. People always go back to what they crave. been there, done that and learned my lesson. just my opinion. hope you prove me wrong. so many on here are moaning and groaning about getting off track. good luck though. wish you success.
by (270 points)
@underweight Henderson wow you’re a glass is half full kinda person aren’t you. We’re not moaning and groaning we’re admitting a mess up and seeking support and ideas - your words are none of that. Good luck with whatever plan you choose to follow.

I track and weigh myself regardless of whether I’m having a bad day or not, it keeps me focused and accountable to myself. It’s always good to know where we stand so that we can get back on track before things get too out of hand.
by (270 points)
I've returned to tracking, I agree with you.
by (4.3k points)
@lachance that’s good, don’t give up just put it behind you and move forward. Today is a new day.

Start eating gluten free. I guarantee you will lose weight and fast. sweets/sugar and white flour are killers.

Start with short, easy goals and build from there. Get to a meeting; track for one day or even one meal. Plan lunches for a few days. You know how to do this!
by (270 points)
That's the frustrating part, I do know how, I've been lazy!

What helps me on a derailment is I know if I can stay on track or close to it for 2 or 3 days I can reset. And I think how shitty I feel when I overdo it on sweets.

Ok so another month has gone by. How much weight did you gain? I'm not asking you to post here but think about a one month gain times 12. Where will you be next year? You can do it. Just get back to meetings and tracking.
