I did keto for five weeks and then changed over to weight watchers and didn’t gain at all. I have seen the same amount of weight loss at the same pace as I did with keto but with more of a variety of food to eat on weight watchers

@mangrum5768 me to! WW is definitely better balanced and sustainable for me than keto. I’ve lost 43 pounds since January 15.

I have been Atkins for 10 years. It just stopped working and I could not keep my weight stable or lose anymore. I switched to weight watchers and it did take awhile to kick in but losing now and enjoying the different foods you can have. Not enjoying upset tummy from zero points beans. Lol

I attempted a low carb (no such thing as no carb) two times. First when Atkins was the rage and then again when Ketogenesis came to the forefront. neither time did I lose weight. WW at least for me has been the only thing that has worked.

I didn't do a Keto diet but yes I cut carbs and sugar. I was stuck for awhile and made the change plus increased my exercise and my water intake. I drink mostly, green tea, zero vitamin water and lemon water. I am down 10 more.

I did KETO from 2/2-4/11 and decided I needed more food options because I couldnt be bored with food and life while in quarantine. I lost 20 with Keto and expected to be a couple weeks as my body transitioned to WW before seeing results. Am happy to report that this morning I was down 3. 6lbs (I am on green)! So no, I did not gain, I maintained my 20lbs and just started losing!

@cavendish , good for you! That’s awesome. Everyone i know that did Keto lost weight and then went back to their regular eating habits. Every single one gained all of the weight lost and more within 2 months. I just can’t imagine a life with Keto restrictions.

I did WW first, then Keto and then WW again lol I thought maybe Keto was a better option but it turned out ww was more sustainable for me. I didnt gain anything back. I kept losing actually BUT i did get bloated. Keto helped my bloat and my stomach was flat! (well as flat as it could be at this weight lol) and then as soon as i started ww again, back came the bloat, gas and sluggish feeling. But, now I know that my body doesnt like carbs as much so i just try and eat less and substitute when i can :)

I did keto for 2 years and lost 40lbs. I just recently switched to WW and have lost 4lbs in the last month. I find WW more convenient as I can eat the same foods as the rest of my family. On Keto I was basically having to cook 2 meals at every single meal time and it got so exhausting with 2 small children at home. On WW I still try to keep an eye and not over do the carbs and sugar. But over all I like WW better for the convenience and more food selection.

Hmmm I’m sure if you can do no carbs as our bodies need it but I did low carb and was an easy transition

I don’t eat a ton of cards because on blue they have more points than I am willing to commit to

@trevino592 , all part of the science of WW - balance. I love it.

I have been on many low carb meal plans only to gain back again. Weight Watchers is a life time plan of healthy eating in portions. It’s a journey not a race. Do it for you You are worth it

WOW ladies - I never expected even two answers - this is awesome :) I have done a 30 day "eating clean" plan with no carbs (other than vegetables) but not Keto. I am afraid of gaining it back, but I know that WW is sustainable for life - still have pasta, beer, etc. just count it. I would like to go back to WW once I hit my goal (10 more pounds) - then I am hopeful nothing comes back and I can finally/hopefully maintain. I'm 59 and I've never learned my lesson. yo yo dieting forever. Not too smart, LOL!
by (8.3k points)
@propagandism , I did the same thing - tried it all, yo yo’d my whole life. Wish I’d been this committed sooner. WW is so doable and you can go out, enjoy family meals and live on balanced variety without affecting your health. Make the switch. You’ll be glad you did.

I am actually losing now on WW green then when I was doing low carb. The mindset was and is the hardest to change, as everytime I had fruit, low point wrap, rice, wine, chocolate, I'd say I was eating bad and felt guilty. I dont anymore as now I'm actually losing weight and eating more, and enjoying everything. Within my daily points. :)

Is there anyone I can "view" the green before I decide to join (once I lose my other 10)
by (10.5k points)
I'm not sure. But you get a certain amount of pts per day. And only 0 pt foods are fruit and veges.

Go to Pinterest and search WW green plan. Lots of info there.

Always in the past my best and easiest weight loss came with low carb keto type eating ( of course as soon as I deviated from that because it is difficult to never have fruit etc and with keto there is NO wiggle room) - but the last 5 months of 2019 I went on keto and for all that time I didn’t deviate one iota - I counted my macros and stayed in balance every day - I didn’t gain but I didn’t lose either like I had in the past. I had been hearing good things about the new WW plans so decided to give WW another try - I started out on green for a week and lost 3. 6 lbs which was great but realized after looking at blue that it could afford me a life style I could live with forever - no more “giving up because I got tired of not being able to have something”. If I budget for it and utilize my zero point foods I can have it all - yea a normal life! I’ve lost 35 lbs since the first of the year on blue. Of course zero points doesn’t mean zero calories and I still can’t go ape on carbs - no two banana days for instance but within reason I eat a couple servings of berries a day - grains or potatoes as long as I count the points - in other words sustainable and something a plan for and plan to stay with forever!

I'm doing better on ww than i did on keto/low carb. i still don't eat a whole lot of carbs besides veggies & fruit because they are points, but ww is so much more easier. And i never have digestive issues like i did keto/low carb

Many years ago I was on Atkins for over a year and lost 50 lbs. couldn’t keep up with the no carb and when I went off gained the weight back and could never go back on it again and tried many times. I like WW much much better. Good luck on what ever you decide!

I was on a low carb diet and then started WW green plan and I gradually reintroduced carbs back into my meals. I did not gain weight with the transition. I have lost 11. 2 since March 1st.

Yes, when my weight gets stuck and won't move I go to watching protein/carbs. Works most of the time.

Carbs add points and lots of them. so it has taught me to limit them . hard cause I love them!

That's me, too. I'm on Blue because I know I don't dare eat too many!

I did! lost 50 on Keto and 20 on weight watchers. I believe cutting out the carbs and sugar helped reset me from being so insulin resistant and now I'm able to lose weight a bit easier than before.

I've never been able to do no carb. My brain needs carbs or it gets very fuzzy. I do low carb for health reasons.
