Plan ahead. I get several staples to keep for lunches and breakfasts that we rotate depending on what we want. For example, my husband eats scrambled eggs, turkey bacon or breakfast ham, and toast every morning. (He can do that. I can’t. I need variety in my life). We cook a breakfast casserole for me every week. Sometimes it’s a frittata, sometimes it’s a hash brown/egg thing, sometimes it’s kodiak pancake bake. I’ll eat it for the week. Lunch, I either take dinner leftovers or a chicken salad or turkey sandwich/wrap to work. For dinner, we plan on Saturday. We chose 3 meals to cook throughout the week. In addition i like to keep things that are easy to make on hand in case we just don’t feel like a labor-intensive meal. (Low point Spaghetti, taco soup, tacos) It’s just easier if we have a backup plan so we don’t spiral. I also found that if you freeze some breakfasts or dinner portions, you’ll have something to grab in a pinch. For example, I LOVE the chicken parm recipe that we make so we will make a few extras and freeze them so I can grab it if I’m running out the door late to work or if I don’t feel like cooking one weekend.

I am also WAY MORE SUCCESSFUL when I prep my fruits and veggies on the weekend but I HATE doing it.  I keep little containers of hummus and boiled eggs at all times. Always have fruits and veggies. I love making my own ranch with a ranch packet and equal parts cottage cheese and Greek yogurt (sounds gross but if you blend it smooth it is phenomenal)

I always wing it, I take something out of the freezer and try to figure out what I'll make and what will go with it

If I don’t plan at least a little it sort of sets me up for failure. I cook dinner and purposely plan to have enough leftovers for my lunch to next day. Before I go to bed I have my breakfast, lunch, and snacks planned out, packed, and logged into my app before I go to bed. Then I know how many points I will have at the end of the day, and that helps me plan supper for that night.

I meal prepped on Sunday's dinners for the week while reaching goal. That was a big help after a long busy day. Now I make whatever I'm in the mood for.

I may be kind of boring, but I plan and prep. I have my usual go-to's that i switch around a bit

@disagree what are your favorite things to meal prep?
by (2.4k points)
@append i will usually do fruit with yogurt for breakfast; for lunch I do hard boiled eggs with grapes and apples; then for dinner it's either zero point chili, zero point chicken taco soup, burrito bowls or brown rice pasta with no added sugar sauce. I'm going to make 2 ingredient bagels today to have for breakfast next week. It's just so much easier for me if I have things ready to go. I also have grab and go snacks.

It's just my husband and I, so I plan 2 or 3 dinners a week and have leftovers the other days.

I plan my weeks every sunday and pre track as many meals as I can . this is more like a guideline that I can change later if I need to. I generally eat the same things a lot but they are things I like and dont get tired of.

I always have the right food in the house and I wing it daily because I work so many hours. I come home and mayby and omelette sounds good and if I feel energetic I'll throw together two ingredient dough pizza. As long as I have my arsenol of WW friendly foods I am good!

I plan it all out a day ahead. Love cooking and planning meals. Since starting everything I will eat in fridge and pantry are marked with points with a Sharpie. No guessing. I'm only buying lean meats, fresh veggies and fruit. It keeps me from panicking trying to figure out food. That's just me though.

I meal prep all my breakfast and lunch for the week on Sunday’s. then I create a menu for dinners for the week. I find the meal prep is a must for me or I end up going off plan!

My breakfast and lunch is pretty similar daily. Dinner is always different but I prep that decision early and daily.

I rotate through chicken, steak, pork, fish, eggs and canned tuna. One night it might be breaded chicken cutlets, the next night omelette, the next night fish, next comes tuna melts, pork chops, haddock. Steak is about once every two weeks, as is spaghetti and meatballs. All meals are accompanied by veggies of some sort. This is a lifetime way of eating so, in my opinion, I had better eat a variety of foods. Down 70 lbs in under a year.

We meal plan on Sunday for the week. Our plan usually includes one “take out” day. I also plan and prep my lunches for the work week on sundays too. I’d be lost if I didn’t and bad choices would be made all around

I pretty much eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch. I also plan what we are having for dinners for the week. It makes shopping much easier and now with the craziness I am trying to plan meals around what I already have. Eating the same things for breakfast and lunch I can also pre-track those meals.

I like to have a loose plan. Which means 3 or 4 meals ready to make and flexible on what day.

We used to wing it but the past 3 weeks we have been meal planning. It helps with minimizing trips to the store and keeps me on track. I have a small magnetic white board that I use to make my weekly meal plan the. On Saturdays I go get what I need for the week.
