One to two pounds a week is normal. My body averages that but I’ll have a couple low weeks, then a couple average, then a couple big weeks, then repeat.

Once upon a time I was told to strive for 1/2 pound a week for steady sustainable weight loss. When I was closer to 350#, I lost more. At 230, moving towards 180, I'm happy with less than a pound per week.

8 pounds a month would be excellent.

7lbs is a lot for someone your size. I think if you lose 1 lb a week I think it’s more than enough. Slow loss is the best.

You didn't put it on over night. 8 lbs is great

Expect 1/2 pound a week, and be happy with more. It took a long time to put it on, and it will stay off longer if you spend some time to take it off.

First of all . congratulations on working the plan. Second, if you treat this as a diet, you will not have long-term success. WW says the average is 1/2 pound to 2 pounds per week. BUT, everyone is different. If you are doing this as a race, forget it. This is truly a lifestyle change.

A pound a week- if you continued that would be awesome. Thing of the end game.

Are you kidding! Your weight loss For first week is awesome, but 1-2 lbs a week is safe & the slower you lose the longer you will keep it off! Congratulations

Be happy with your 7lbs that’s really good for a month the weight didn’t come on overnight and will not go away overnight (sure wish it would) Take one day at a time and one meal at a time also if you figure7lbs a month that 84lbs in a year! your loss amounts to 28sticks of butter, stack that up and realize how lucky you are to have that much gone

If you think of this journey as a life commitment, you won't be disappointed with a small weight loss. You are taking control and living life while on this journey. Goal weight will be a great accomplishment, but each little success (NSV) is wonderful too. Keep at it. You will be successful!

1-2 lbs/week is considered average weight loss

I only lost about 1/2 pound a week. Was not discouraged. Learned this is my journey not a diet. A new way to be healthy and thinner. Slow and steady. Do not set goals that will let you get discouraged. Lost 25 pounds and I am happy.

To be honest, I think 10 pounds a month might be a little ambitious. Figure on 1 pound a week after the first month. That’s pretty standard. Remember that this is NOT a diet; it’s a lifestyle change.

Set REASONABLE short-term goals. It's easier and more satisfying than trying to eat the whole elephant in one bite. Keep up the good work!

We aren't always perfect, it is harder for me to lose in the winter because I am not as active. So for me to stay the same, and not gain is good. This thing we do is not a race, it is a change in our lifestyle that makes us healthier, some lose slow, some lose fast. Don't compare yourself to others, just stay the course, and be happy you have found something that makes a difference in your lifestyle.

I think 20 lbs per month is ambitious. 5-8 lbs is doable. Even at just 5 pounds per month you will have lost 60 pounds by this time next year

I only list 7 the first month. Kind of discouraging but what is is.

WW is set up to lose 1-2 lbs a week. Some people lose faster; some slower. I find it hard to predict what I will lose because I don't have much control over it, if I'm doing everything the right way.

Slow is better, 7 gone forever, skin has chance to shrink too

WW has always said that a 1-2 lb. per week loss is reasonable and safe. Everyone's metabolism and DNA is different because of the body chemistry they have built over their lifetime. Part of the problem is that people are so impatient, they want it all gone now. It seems to me that a lot of people get frustrated when their initial loss slows down, which has always been true. People need to be patient and be in it for the long haul.

I was hoping to lose 2 lbs/week but have lost about 1 lb/week. I didn’t put the weight on that quickly so why did I expect to lose it that quickly? If I lose less than 1/2 lb per week I’ll change plans. I’m purple now.
