I started WW last year and I was on fire! I dropped 25 pounds like it was my job! I felt great and alive. Summer was busy and weird and I fell off the wagon and didn’t log my food and now I’ve gained and lost the same 10 pounds 4 times. I’m sad. I’m hungry all the time. I make bad food choices to feel good for about 30 seconds. I know I’m trying to fill a void. I know what I should be eating and and I know how shitty I feel when I eat shitty food. I know how great I feel when I’m eating well and healthy. Why am I self sabotaging? I need to get it together. I was so motivated and dedicated and then I gave up on myself. I need help. I need to get back where I was last year when I was happy and proud of myself. Right now I don’t even want to look at myself in the mirror. I don’t like myself. I dread getting dressed. Thanks for listening. Maybe just typing this will Make me feel better.

Many of us could have written this. I think the important thing is to keep picking yourself back up no matter how many times you fall. ❤️

Same here. I joined in 2018 and lost 50 pounds and then the holidays came around and i didnt track or log any foods. 2019 was me losing and gaining the same 5-10 pounds. I have been purposely tracking and logging, weighing my foods for the past 3 weeks and have seen a 3 pound loss.
by (1.5k points)
@dubious it’s such a cycle. I don’t want to go to a meeting because I’m embarrassed even though it’s exactly what it’s here for. I’m stuck.
by (1.5k points)
I need to commit to logging again. This helps! Thanks!

You know I don’t think there’s a person in this FB group that hasn’t been in your shoes. As a friend tells me all the time, we are all beautiful regardless of size. I’m learning to love all my curves, jiggling arms and whatever I can add to the list. You can do this.
by (1.5k points)
@prepossess I wish and I hope to get to that point some day. For now with every jiggle and dimple comes tears and anxiety and yet I keep eating. ‍♀️ I’m exhausted and I can’t stop the feeling of hating the way I feel and look. Ugh.

I needed to read this - happy I’m not alone! I’ve gained 6 lbs since self isolating - today is a new day and the beginning of a new week - I too want to feel good again and get my motivation back - we can do this together! Baby steps - tracking, exercising and staying with the plan!

I hear you! I did the same, lost 25 , gained back 12-15lbs so disappointed in myself. But I know it’s stress eating ( my 1st granddaughter due in august) and I want to loose weight but have accepted this stress isn’t helping. Be kind to yourself , we’ll get back there ! Best wishes to you

That is me in a nutshell. I lost 30 quick the next 9 really slow then the meetings stopped. I lost my accountability. I need the in person meeting s. I’ve put 12 pounds back on and have been playing the I’ll get back on track tomorrow game for over a month. I have every intention to go for that walk today and eat healthy. It’s definitely the mind set that has to be in the right place. Cmon Brianne, let’s do this

I feel the same way . A few years back I lost 65 pds on WW. I was so dedicated and motivated nothing could sway me . I joined a boot camp and I was in the best shape of my life ! I felt so good and swore I would never gain the weight back ! I kept it off for a couple of years . Then I slowly started slipping back to old habits and then just completely fell off the wagon and gained all the weight back . So now I am trying to get back on track ! I beat myself up daily but I realize that doesn’t help. So sorry for the long post but jus know your not alone ! We are all in this together

How many times we all probably felt like this. I try to focus on the health benefits of being a healthy weight and not so much the vanity part of it. Of course we all like to look good and feel good as well. Try to understand why you are making the food choices you make.
by (1.5k points)
@immiscible Green Yanoshik I totally want to go there but I worked really hard not to be unhealthy and I lost 80 pounds and gained so much self esteem. Now the inspiration is gone.
by (7.1k points)
@abbreviation oh sweetie, my heart breaks for you, it really does. if you can't seem to do it for yourself, do it for the people in your life who may rely on you. Not sure if you are married, or have kids, but maybe do it for them. We're here for you for encouragement. You CAN do it

First of all lose the guilt and start loving yourself again! Focus on the good in your life. Make sure you have the healthy foods to make good choices! Take good care of you, you deserve it!

@ligetti maybe I associate love with how I look. I’m trying to be better about being kind to myself again.

These are tough times emotionally. Focus on YOUR 'why'. you know th plan works. And, if you can determine why you self sabotage, that would be great (but not essential; it's enough to know that we all do it sometimes). Establish healthy habits and routines: we don't stop everyday and think about why we (or if we want to or even how we should) brush our teeth, we just do it as a part of our normal daily routine. Make your food and activity choices like brushing your teeth. Best wishes!

You are not alone at all. I was ten pounds lighter this time last year. It’s a lot of emotional eating and stress for sure. If you need a buddy let me know. I’d be happy to have one!

Start exercising with Leslie Sansone, one mile is only 15 minutes. But before you do, measure yourself. And do it once a week. You may not lose pounds but you lose inches. 1 pound of fat weighs the same as 1 pound of muscle.

Self forgiveness and love has been an essential part of my journey. I found this prayer at a time of my life that changed everything and how I look at myself. I hope it will help you with your journey: A BUDDHIST PRAYER OF FORGIVENESS: If I have harmed anyone in any way either knowingly or unknowingly through my own confusions I ask their forgiveness. If anyone has harmed me in any way either knowingly or unknowingly through their own confusions I forgive them. And if there is a situation I am not yet ready to forgive I forgive myself for that. For all the ways that I harm myself, negate, doubt, belittle myself, judge or be unkind to myself through my own confusions I forgive myself.

You need to focus on what you want the out come to be and track everything that goes in your mouth. Drink tons of water. If you have to write in journal. Your feeling, goals, your happiness and even sadness. You can do this. Everyone has ups and downs. You deserve to be healthy and happy  get out of the funk and get moving in the right direction. God bless you. You got this.

You are not alone. Focus on why you started this journey. Start fresh and don't beat yourself up. Most of us are struggling through this new way of life, sometimes it's hard just to get out of bed. Picture yourself healthy and happy. Try and stay busy and accomplish one thing everyday. Give yourself credit for it. One day at a time☺

We've all been there. Are you attending virtual meetings? In the past I skipped meetings when I got in a rut. Ive discovered that I am more likely to attend the virtual meetings when I feel like this. I don't have to check in or weigh in even though I am tracking my weight and entering it in the app. I can attend the meeting without getting showered and dressed for it and so I am attending and it helps straighten out my head.
by (1.5k points)
@aristippus I haven’t missed a meeting since I started! I am dependent on my meetings for accountability and encouragement! I can do this!

Got on the scales this morning. I’ve lost 10 pounds since this started in March. I learned the hard way with the Hurricane Harvey flooding of our home that you can NEVER let a situation be an excuse for how you eat.
