Hi all.  I’m a new WW member.Hi all. I’m a new WW member. I joined Monday. I’m trying to wrap my head around the activity points. The app auto set mine to 22. It’s day 3 and I’m already at 15 just by using regular steps. I should hit the goal by tonight. Which seems too easy. I’m wondering what’s your happy number that challenges you but doesn’t seem too unattainable? I use the rebounder and average 6-8K steps at work on days I don’t go for a walk. I shoot for 2-3 days of at least a 30 minute walk. But I’m also inconsistent lol. Thank you for your input!

I’ve never used my activity points. It seems like you get an awful lot of points for not that much activity.

I'm pretty active and get points, but it doesn't show up on the page to use them. How does that work?

@sunset you can pick (in settings) to either use up your weeklies or your fitpoints first. Once those are gone it will start taking from the other.

You can change that goal. Fitpoints can be exchanged for food but personally I choose to use them for other health benefits (toning the body, stress relief, better sleep, etc)

I set mine to 100 as my goal for motivation. I don’t exchange them for food or anything. I just use it as extra motivation.

I currently don’t have a tracker, so I manually log my fitness points. I use them for motivation, not for food. I don’t find I get fitness points easily. If I do 45 minutes of aerobic exercise, Runtastic says I burned over 400 calories, but the WW app only gives me 9 fit points. If I walk for 30 minutes, I only get 2 fit points. There’s no way I’d reach 100 points a week at that rate. I set my point goal at 30. That’s plenty motivating for me.

Is there a way to manually put in your steps. my watch won’t connect to the app- it’s not a fit bit or any that’s listed x

@adnate4551 when you go to the activity part of My Day, just search in the search bar for an activity and you can input different activities that you do throughout the day.

@adnate4551 yes just put steps in the search area and it comes up.

@adnate4551 Your welcome.

If you do other exercises just type them in and they should come up also. You may have to find something similar if you can’t find the exact thing.

Just for motivation. NOT to be exchanged for food.

To be honest, I don’t pay attention to activity points or weekly points because I don’t use them. I only use my daily points.

@lowpressure what’s your activity day like?
by (3.4k points)
So every day I walk my dog for a few miles and lately with covid I’m taking a zoom workout class. That gets me 20-30 per a day
by (3.4k points)
@gona I felt like 20 a day was reasonable.

I set my goal for 100 but consistently get 150-200. I sync with my Fitbit so I'm tracking all my actual workouts. Things like housework just count towards my regular stepcount I don't log it as an activity. I've eaten all my fitpoints since starting last July and I've lost 53 pounds so far so definitely see what works best for you. Some people don't eat them but I've always ate mine and lost.

Play around with it. Honestly the activity goal doesn’t control anything other than giving you a number to shoot for. Even if you decide to eat them, it’s only the actuals that count

In prior programs you could use them and we promoted it. But bc of all the flexibility we now have they don’t recommend you use them. I think they left them as a feel good thing. Some days can be tough so if I need a few extra points I only use my weeklies . Try not to look for free points

My thoughts Our tendency is to push too hard in the beginning making it hard to stay the course later. There is so much time, this is a life change. Up your setting, if you want, just not too much at first. Slow and steady wins the race/goal.
