What does everyone do with points when they're on vacation? Track them or just watch what they eat and cheat a little?

We leave on Friday for a 2-week all inclusive vacation. I’m going to try to track (wifi isn’t great at the resort we’re going to). Food won’t be my downfall; the alcohol will but I plan on still exercising and walking and I will do my best. I expect to gain a few pounds but will get right back on track as soon as we get home. I’ve already lost 33 pounds and have bought at least half a wardrobe already which I love. I’ve got 10-20 to go (my new clothes will almost all still fit then) so I don’t want to gain too much.

@orban thank you so much. I really don’t have a problem on this plan. at least when I’m home. I know I’ll eat lots of fruit and veggies and the resort has lots of grilled fish and chicken. As I said, it’s the alcohol that will get me but, hey, we’ll be on holiday and almost everyone gains a few pounds so this will be “normal”.

If I eat it, I track it (even if it goes WAY over my points). I don’t beat myself up about it. I just get right back on track after vacation. This is a lifestyle, not a diet!

Never finished something that isn’t good. Not everything infront of you has to be finished. Not every meal has to be a gut buster. If you are looking forward to a special meal and it is awful. just stop eating and save the points. Be mindful, but enjoy yourself

I try to use point free food all day so I can eat and drink what I like at dinner. Only works if you can cater yourself.

I’m leaving on Saturday for a week at an all inclusive resort in Mexico. I plan on not tracking, but doing my best to make healthy choices-except for alcohol. I will also attempt to go to the gym there’s as well

I was on a two week cruise last month. I recorded what I ate and drank every day. I did not even try to calculate points. Just writing it down kept me mindful. I only gained . 6! I also walked a lot.

I am leaving for vacation in a week and I will be tracking. I am sure it may go over, But Weight Watchers is being accountable for what you do. So if you don’t track that is like not being accountable. Which means then sometimes you eat something and say I’m not going to count it which leads to trouble

Just remember if the Internet access is not good then do it the old-fashioned way that we used to do years ago and write it on a piece of paper this way you can see what all you do

@calaverite I have always tracked in a little notebook. 8 years at goal, it works for me!

I eat light during the day so I can have a regular dinner and drink, I never stop tracking its part of my life now. I use my weeklies for treats. But I naturally prefer eating things like fruits as snacks so it’s helped me a lot

Like spring break staycation. stay on track. Jamaica vacation that I paid thousands $$$$ for. I'm eating and drinking anything I want!

Now that being said. I try to have a veggie omelet and fruit for breakfast, split a grill lunch with my husband, and have seafood for dinner. But the dirty banana drinks are another thing!

I track them. It makes it easier when I get back home because I don’t have a crazy gain . Just my preference

Personally I like to track them. but I switch activity points to 'swapping' and track alllll my activity. And then I don't stress when I go over for the week anyway. But I track, b. c any day I don't track is a set back!

@loleta7264 Captain @custodian Gille would you please tell me how to swap my activity point?
by (3.4k points)
It's a setting in the app. It will trade activity points into your weeklies after you've hit your goal.

Maybe you should decide if you’re going to lose, maintain or gain then take it from there.
