Do any of you have a “cheat day”? I have one inasmuch that I don’t track and eat things that I normally wouldn’t. Helps to keep me from feeling deprived. I restarted WW right after New Year’s and have lost 10 pounds so far.

Yep but I still track I just eat whatever I want, tracking just reminds me what I normally eat cost in points

@intense I think it’s important to still track on days when you are just eating what you want. It helps you realize snd access if that particular food is worth it.

Make it a reward meal. You’ll feel better about it. Over time, even those will be on the healthier side. Biggest thing to think about is portion size. We tend to “cheat” with huge portions, which you and your body will regret afterwards.

No, I find it too difficult to get back on track. Cheat meal turns into cheat day, turns into cheat week. I know myself all too well! 3 pounds to go until goal!

I do once in awhile. I just had hand surgery last week and “needed” Doritos, donuts and ice cream for a couple of days. Gained four pounds but have already taken it off.

Not a cheat meal per se but one meal a week with family that I know is going to be on the high side points wise. I try to plan for it by keeping my weeklies for that meal.

Yes, I have a cheat day. Usually a Saturday! Years ago when I lost 55 lbs, I alway got the chocolate chip cookies from McDonalds on the day I weigh in. Not saying it’s right to do but better for me. 10 lbs. weight loss is good.

Yes, usually Saturdays. Hard to track when most CleveLand restaurants are not on the app so I don’t track

Everyone should do what they feel is best for them. For me, however, the challenge with "cheating" is the psychology of labeling food as good or bad. Plus, non-cheat days, by definition, mean deprivation. My problem with weight is black and white thinking - I'm either on or off, good or bad, perfect or fallen off the wagon. Cheat days enforce that. I believe we should have balanced eating - a higher caloric meal balanced with lower caloric foods that day or that week. ALL food is allowed on WW. Eat accordingly and weight loss results.

Yes, once in a while. I try not to over indulge to much but if I don’t have a cheat meal once in a while I feel like I’m really depriving myself and do not want to set myself up for failure.

I don’t have a cheat day but every week I have a day for a favorite meal and I count it even if I go over And I’m maintaining my free lifetime status

Personally, I don't like the idea of a "cheat" anything. If I do that, then I am looking at imprisoning myself, and after learning how to work the program (when I choose to do it), there is nothing that I can't have if I want it. One year I went to a major fair and ate everything I wanted . BUT . I ate half of whatever I ordered and shared or threw away the other half. I didn't eat 3, 000 calories, but figured that all dailies, weeklies, and bonus points were done and did a lot of walking, too. But, then, too, I guess it depends on what one calls cheating and how many points one has to work with. I am allowed more than a lot of people are, so that might help me do things like that.
