Interesting. I grew up in Jersey. lived there 35 years and never heard anyone from Jersey call it pork roll. old or young.  Left Jersey for AZ 19 years ago but all my family is still there.

Our takeaway places have just been allowed to open after 5 weeks lockdown, so went halves in a curry and rice with my mumma. it was worth the points and gave me a much needed break from cooking

Chilaquiles, made with thick cut tortilla chips (from the Mexican grocer), and my home made red sauce. I plan on making some with green sauce and queso fresco instead of red sauce this weekend.

I moved from Jersey way back when to Western NY State. There was NO PIRK ROLL. We did have a bakery that had hard rolls, something I can not find even in NJ. Sad but true. Now don't tell me I am wrong cause you might not even know what I am talking about. I can't explain the hard roll, just dif than any thing I find now. Anyone here over 70 from Jersey?
